I just installed a new pair of Navidrex Thin Black Micarta Combat Grips on my hard-chrome Mauser 80SA Hi Power and they make me smile.

I have always liked this pistol, even if it is not a 'real' Hi Power - they way it feels and shoots, I do not think it cares that it was manufactured by FEG. Wearing these thin Mycarta grips it feels better than ever to me.

Just wanted to share some pictures. The cost of the Navidrex grips was right at 15% of the original cost of this used Hi Power. It felt a little funny spending that kind of money, but after just a tad bit of fitting them to the frame I am glad I did.

The above pictures came out fuzzier than I wanted, but I think you can get an idea of how the thin grips might better fit a shooter with smaller than average hands.

Here is a gratuitous photo of my Mauser 80SA partially stripped naked.

Did I mention this pistol is one of my favorites?

Nice choice. The grips look great in contrast to the silver hard chrome finish.

I've got a set of those same grips on my FM Hi-Power. I like them very much; I never understood why the manufacturer made a 13-shot pistol that was still quite slim, and then stuck fat grips on it. The Micarta grips are nice and thin and really complement the rest of the gun in several ways.
