Anyone have experience with The New Jersey Firearms Academy? (http://www.njfirearms.com).

I'm planning a stag party in august, their site says they handle such things, and a day of shooting seems pretty cool, but all I know about NJ and guns is that guy with the locked gun in his trunk a few months ago.

Thanks!

Are you bringing your own guns and if so from where? Handguns? Long guns? Different answers for different situations. Need more info.

most of the group has never touched a gun before, and I'm flying out from CA so there's no way in hell I'll bring a gun to NJ. (Come to think of it, didn't another guy go to jail in NJ because his plane had a long layover and he was flying with a properly packed pistol?)

I'm thinking some kind of group lesson/shooting session with rented firearms for the party. It'll cost more but be less logistic trouble.

Okay no problem using the range's guns. As long as you are not bringing any guns to NJ you should have no problems.

If you read up on that incident the guy who was arrested was stupid doing what he did.

That, to me, was a horrible situation as he ultimately wasn't charged and the court said he couldn't sue. He had taken possession of his luggage (including handgun) when he was forced to stay overnight as he missed (not due to his fault) his connecting flight.

You might want to contact this guy as he can put together an introductory class for your party also,

My main concern is more customer service related stuff, and the quality of the range, although I appreciate the legal advice. ;-)

I know people that have dealt with Gun for Hire and are well pleased. I don't know anyone who has dealt with NJ Firearms Academy (not saying they are bad).

GunforHire looks pretty good too... I'll include them in the research.

Thanks!
