SU-16D model

Now personally I don't understand why anyone would buy a short barreled SU-16 when you can get a short barreled AR platform instead. Are there any states where you can't get a short barreled AR but you can get a shortbarrled SU-16D?

I will have to consider buying some B model sightes, a rifle case, and maybe the D model forend.

well I suppose the D, folded is probably much smaller than even a comparable AR. Probably, stowed its the same size as an MP5 it looks lile. Thats quite a small package..

That is true. I forgot about the buffer assembly sticking out the end. Even on a pistol kit it will get in the way. Then again can you think of any situations where you would want to point and shoot a .223 rifle (not accurate, but extremely close range) over a 12 gauge shotgun? If you are going to be shooting a stockless weapon, why not make it a shotgun with improved cylinder?

Most certainly. It's going to be easier to address multiple hostiles quickly with a .223 than a short-barreled shotgun- not to mention that one can carry many more rounds in the .223!

Also, it only take a second to unfold that stock. One has the option of firing with it closed, but once the stock is open, it won't be hard to address targets at 100 meters and beyond- good luck doing that with a 10" barreled shotgun.

Something else to save for. Guess I need to hurry and sell that first best-seller...

I got to extensively fire a SU-16C this weekend and it is awesome! What a great home defense/BOB or pack/Truck gun. I wouldn't buy one now since they keep getting better and improving on the older designs, but of course the price is steadily climbing as well.
