New Kel-Tek SU-16 Model (Not really, but...?)

Maybe it would be called the SU-16PG for pistol grip.
I would be all over one of these, maybe with a different forearm.

I think that looks pretty good.
It would be a cheap alternative to an AR and it uses a gas piston.
My guess is all the Cali's would be pissed off though because they can't have it.

But to have the company really produce it, is a different story.
I doubt they would.

I like it, a "poor man's AR" (I haven't seen the price but I assume it's cheaper). When it comes to gun models I just think the more the merrier!
I'm thinking about getting one of those PLR16 pistols unless I can build an AR pistol for within a hundred bucks or so.

The point would be a .223 rifle that takes AR-15 mags without all the drawbacks of a gas system that poops where it eats.

The SU16 is a gas-pistol design which is much cleaner and more reliable. And is about half the price of a gas-piston AR-15 upper.

agreed. Possibly with a nicer looking stock. Maybe a skeleton. Or one with a compartment. Or that could hold a magazine like the other ones.

Other than there just fun and cheap to shoot.... I dohno for a battle rifle I go with a M1A or a FAL. 7.62x51
