I've been waiting since they first came out, through the price gouging and recall. Today I went to a gunshow intent on handing and possibly purchasing a small .38spcl 5 shot revolver but I kept coming back to the LCP. I tossed caution to the wind and bought it, the mag as the finger extension and I picked up another mag in the deal. I'd post a pic but you all know what they look like.

When I got home I took it straight out of the box and ran (30) 100 grain FMJ and (20) 90grain JHP rds through it. For a guy that's used to a full size .45 for bedside and an XD40sc with a Crimson Trace laser for ccw this is really a different experience.

This first 50 ran without a hitch but this little pistol is loud, it bucks and snorts, the trigger is long, the web of my hand knows I've been shooting and at 30 feet I am all over the paper.

A challenge, I like that. Now I just have to tell the wife....:D

I shot mine for the first time today also. 100 rounds without a hiccup.

Mine were all over the place too, but I got better by the end.

Speaking of the LCP, I saw an engraved one today at the LGS. Marked up about $50 from the base price. Hard to justify spending on engraving for a pocket carry gun.

MY wife, who's carry weapon is usually a Browning High Power, says that LCP stands for Little Cute Pistol

Saw the same thing in the case I was looking in. For what I'm going to use this pistol for I can't see going for the engraving but if it works for someone else - to each his own.

Has anyone painted the "sights" with a dab of white? Just wondering if that might help a little with acquisition.
