I bought an LCP a couple weeks ago and like the gun. The grip, with the mag extension, is barely big enough for me to take a proper grip. I'm considering the addition of a Crimson Trace laser but I'm concerned the addition of the button and the mechanism below it will consume too much space on the grip.

Note that it's difficult for me to press the trigger with the pad of my finger. I usually end up using the crux of the first knuckle. I only have a 100 rounds or so through the gun so I'm still working on gun-specific technique.

Any thoughts from people with and LCP/CT combo?

While I'm at it let me ask what effect the laser had on shooting and groupings.

Side note: Recently reading Mas Ayoob's Combat Handgunnery book, he describes using that part of your finger on the trigger as acceptable and accurate...esp in high stress situations. And therefore practicing that way and using it in def. pistol competitions.

My laser helped my groupings because it helped my trigger pull...dry-fire training with it is great.

second that part about pulling with that part of your finger is accurate. just practice. iv put 500+ rounds through my LCP and it just keeps getting better. i cant shoot it as accurately as the sig P238 but that gun is in a different class. i did a little work on a kel tec P3AT for a man that had large hands and felt the trigger was catching his finger when he was squeezing the trigger. it does help to smooth and radius the trigger edges in my opinion.
