New M&P 22 out yet?

New S&W M&P 22
Talked to Customer Service three times in the last two weeks. I got "no idea","hopefully in a couple of months" and "mid to end of April".
Your guess is as good as mine but I hope it's soon. I also hope it doesn't have any issues.

"Soon" is all I've heard--always a month or two away. 
Man, the pictures on S&W's website make it look really bad , and not much like a real M&P (although they're kind of marketing or positioning it as part of the series nevertheless). My Airsoft M&P looks more realistic! Fortunately, the finished product will look a lot better than that. Unfortunately, it's still not an M&P, just a reasonable lookalike. Personally, I'd rather have a .22 LR conversion kit than a Walther P22 that has undergone plastic surgery.

I'd much rather have a .22lr conversion upper too. It just doesn't seem right to have a .22lr that is just styled to look like a M&P

I too think that the way to go would be for the 22lr conversion, but I don't think we will see that now that they are coming out with the M&P 22. I was just curious because I own 2 M&P 9c's (one was a gift) and the 45c and they are both outstanding weapons.

I'm holding out hope that a manufacturer of M&P aftermarket parts comes out with a .22lr conversion kit. I believe the complicated part is the extractor and the initial cost
