New MBR's and Kreb's KTR-03S

Picked up the Spanish CETME for $319 and just evilized it and added new Tapco wood (original wood was beat up). Works flawless.

Picked up an Imbel FAL carbine from a private seller for $625. Shoots great.

Have had my DPMS AP4 .308 for a few months now, shoots great.

Picked up a Kreb's KTR-03S this week, hope to take it to the range soon.

What rail system is on the KTR?

It's Kreb's own rail system that they make in house, very light and very solid. The KTR's are selling for $999, a great deal when you start pricing out all of the improved goodies that they come with. I was going to put rails, peep sights, etc. on one of my converted Saigas and it came out to be almost $900 already, and it wouldn't have a left side thumb safety, top cover rail, or AR peep sights.

Or for the FAL for that matter. Good stuff. Assuming the hartzpad knows how to use em and has ammo to feed em, I think that is one household that is officially looter/zombie/alien-proof.

O and uh, how open is Krebs to modifying a design in a semi-custom role? For example, could I have him make me one of those bad boys with an ACE Ltd. sidefolder?

No, Kreb's stopped doing custom work and they plan to concentrate on putting out custom lines of rifles but all to the same specs.

I bought the fixed stock version because I plan to cut the tang and put an ACE folding stock on it.
