Hi,

I thought it was about time to join you guys after hours of reading threads during slow hours here at work. My job is at a major medical center here downtown Minneapolis where i work the graveyard shift, and if patients are generally doing well, there is not too much to do. I love to talk about all that is gun but do not have many people here that share that particular passion.
I shoot, collect and hunt. The shooting part is mainly handguns (Stoeger Cougar 9mm and S&W 686+ .357 of course), the collection consists mainly of WWII rifles and I hunt upland game, duck and deer. And I am one of those lucky guys whose wife is into shooting too...

New user from FXBG, VA

Hi,

I am new to this site, though not new to shooting/carrying. I am a fan of snub nose revolvers..well more like an acolyte:rolleyes: I have used information from this forum many times, so I figured I would join up and share the wealth.

Hi all

Been lurking for a bit and decided to register. :)

I now live in FL.

I like "military" style weapons and like to target shoot.

Will post soon. :neener:

Hello

Hello,

I'm Ed. I live in NC. Would rather live in Colorado but the Army brought me here and my wife says we are staying. For now;) I have been a member of the NRA for over 30 years. Don't always agree with them but they do have the numbers to keep up a fight. Wish more would join to assist the fight. I teach NRA First Steps, Basic Pistol, NC CCH and Utah non-resident CFP courses. I write my state and federal representatives and senators on issues I am concerned about, not just the firearms issues. I also write other state representatives when I identify issues to help our cause that need to be brought to their attention. I belong to a couple of other forums and recently found this one. Hope to contribute and learn.

Ed

Hi, I'm new here. I'm about to leave home to study in ballistic, and thought that forum was nice. so here i am lol

Since a member here posted a link to a poster I have on another forum, http://www.pafoa.org/forum/concealed-open-carry-121/5076-carry-always-its-your-life.html#post52492 I thought I'd sign up here to make sure no one was talking about me behind my back.;)

I'm a bit overwhelmed by the amount of members here. I'm used to my "home" forum on the Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association. http://www.pafoa.org/

I hope to learn and share info with other like-minded individuals.
No time now for a detailed rundown on my shooting history and/or hardware, but that will come in time, I'm sure.

Looks like I have some exploring to do... I'll see if there's a "pics" section to share my photos.

RebTL here out of FL. Just purchased my first handgun (Sigma 9mm and traded for a RUger P95) a few months back and browsing for more. I'm finding .22LR pistols are fun as heck and will try to sharpen aim skills. I used to mess with RC cars, but I figured to try something else. The good thing is my wife's into guns too. She has a Bersa .380cc, but after shooting my Neos she wants to get her own .22LR. Well- great forum and lots of knowledge in here. See you in the threads. T

New guy!

Howdy,
This is my first post here and have heard about ya'll through Tom Greshem's guntalk. It look like a good time and I thought I might be able to join in a bit.

I am an NRA member, shoot Levergun's, reload my own ammo, love to hunt and fish and do leather work for a living.

Looking forward to chatting with ya'll.:)

With a name like LeverGun your going to make a lot of friends here! Welcome aboard.

I grew up with my great-grandfather's Winchester 94 .30 WCF. My brother now has it and still hunts with it. Now I have a Marlin stainless 1894 .44 magnum.

Also enjoy the Garand, Rem 700, Glock 23, 1911, and any Ruger or S&W revolver from .38 to .44 mag, and the Rem 870.

Hi from Roebuck

Hi Folks. I just found this forum and thought it looked good enough to join. I am into deer stalking, African plains game hunting, wild boar (in Germany) and driven pheasant hunting. I have an interest in antique military weaponry. Handguns were banned in U.K. in 1997 so I cant shoot pistol aymore. Rifles I use are Ruger (.243), Winchester (.300WSM), Sauer (.243 & .25-06), Mannlicher (.308 & 7mm-08), Sako (.22-250), Blaser (.308/12g combination) and CZ (.22 & .17).

Five are suppressed. For scopes, I am a Swarovski fan. I reload for all the above calibres except the rimfires.

Roebuck.

Welcome to the High Road! And a very nice collection you have.

I have also developed an interest in the collection of antique military rifles. So far, I have a Finnish M39 Mosin-Nagant built on a Russian czar-era receiver (receiver date 1905) and a Polish M44. I'd love to pick up a Lee-Enfield someday.

Greetings from Baton Rouge

Pardon my noobishness in advance.

I just took my mother’s gun away from her (she has Alzheimer’s). My dad bought it in 1974 when be became a volunteer member of a Sheriff Deputies Mounted Patrol, which involved parades and some search and rescue.

It is an RG 38 Special, Model #63. Don’t groan too much, I have already done my research and know that RG firearms are not very highly regarded.

My husband has a Cobra 38 Special CTG, which I know he hasn’t used in at least 15 years.

Baton Rouge isn’t as safe as it once was and I think it is foolish to have these guns around unused. I am planning on changing that.

Hi all. New to this forum, but have been around GT, Texas CHL, and Walther forums for a few years. Buddy of mine pointed me here, so here's my first post. I'm 25, work as the manager for a steam railroad, graduated from ETBU with a degree in English. I have a pretty decent firearm collection, with the prizes being a Browning Citori Plus O/U and my daily carry piece, a P99AS.

Hope to be an asset here.

 I would like to know where I can obtain a clip for a model M 1600
22LR made by the arms corpooration of the Phillipines.

HELP... I can't stop buying guns!

i took a chunk of my bonus money from work and have bought 9 firearms in about 5 months.

mind you, i've only been shooting less than a year thanks to a very good friend (Marine, ex-LEO, more guns than some countries) who introduced me to firearms. before i "saw the light" i was as ignorant, and frankly... scared, about guns as every anti you know. now i have what my wife used to say was an "unhealthy facination with guns", now she sees the light too.

anyway, i love the fact that i can buy two guns a day if i please. i also picked up my CCW and go shooting at least 3 x weekly. I also spend a ton on ammo, so i need to invest in a re-loading set-up.

i've turned 180 degrees on RKBA and the 2A, because i'm a responsible guy with a good job who enjoys shooting his new guns with his friends. i also have a family and a home to protect. i love taking my guns apart, cleaning them, learning everything i can about their history and craftsmanship.

i also am really into very nice mountain bikes and fly fishing gear, but nobody is gonna ban those.

so i have spent my hard-earned bonus dough on what i consider to be a fine collection so far...
  • S&W 629 44 Mag
  • H&R 12 guage shotgun
  • Mossberg 12 guage shotgun
  • S&W 1911
  • Glock 23
  • AR-15 (Double Star)
  • AK 47 (romanian)
  • Kel-tec P11
  • Ruger Mark III
and guess what, i'm going to buy some more (any suggestions?) and a lot of ammo and i hope it all lasts until next year's bonus check.

anyway, i thought there was something wrong with me until i found THR:D

since i'm new, thought this was as good a place as any on the forum to post.

Aloha!

Hello,

I used to lurk these forums and figured it was time to join. It seems like a nice forum and the memebers seem to show respect. I have been into firearms for a few years now and enjoy it quite a bit. Already own several firearms and already might need a larger safe....lol. I look foward to learning more here as there seems to a wealth of general knowledge.:)
