New member from Louisville, KY. Go Cards!

I enjoy history and the collection of milsurp rifles, especially the Lee-Enfield in all of its various incarnations. I'm a 03 FFL holder and also a flintlock rifle and pistol enthusiast. I enjoy the flintlock build process, and carve as well. My next goal is working on engraving.

Great site! been lurking for a while and now it's time to start posting. I have many friends locally who are also into collecting and target shooting; I'll try to bring them along with me.

Greetings to all.

Firearms are more than just objects of interest, they're a passion for me. It is truly a great feeling when I find myself in possession of a new, well crafted firearm. Not only do I enjoy guns, but I am also an avid knife collector.

I look forward to gaining the tremendous amount of knowledge located on these forums.

Always great to duck in here to read bio's of new members.

Welcome to you all. We're glad you're here.

This is, IMO, the greatest gun forum on the web.

Please make yourselves at home, and let us know how we can help.

Ask questions, and contribute when you feel like it.

Newb here. Been lurking for a bit. Ex-military. Sysadmin. Liberal that happens to believe in personal responsibility. I like guns. I like my S&W 5906 & my Ruger Mark I shoots better than I ever will.
The info here has been illuminating & I am sure it will continue to be so.

Hello All!

I am located in Southern Indiana and am an avid outdoorsman. I have many weapons but most recently have turned my interests to HP SR shooting and reloading. I see lots of good info here. We must stick together and tell the Truths that our Govt are not and protect our right to bear arms in order to protect our right to Stay as free as we can!

Cheers!

Newbie

I have seen lots of references to posts on this site so I thought I would join and read them first hand. I am a firefighter and currently own a M&P 9mm Compact, which will be my CCW gun.

New To Forum

Hey Folks: Obviously I am new to the Forum and have visited many times.
Some mighty fine reading and learning. I enjoy Rugers Single Actions and Target shoot [yeah right] MK II; have others and am looking. My interest is leading me more into reloading. Recent Books and clambering around the inter-net and digesting as much info. possible. SO MUCH TO LEARN AND SO MUCH TO ENJOY IN LEARNING. Thanks; for being patient with us:)

Hi! New member here.

I've been shooting since I was old enough to pull a trigger. I distinctly remember a session up at my cabin shooting a crossman BB gun with my dad having to help hold it up. I'm still sort of a noob with guns, but I think I have the base knowledge and am spending lots of time at the range now figuring out the finer points. Currently I am figuring out how to use a sharps rifle with a vernier sight (thanks to those who helped me out there) and getting more steady with my Security Six .357.

I did my three years in the Army and got to shoot a wide variety of guns from a M9 up to a mk19 grenade launcher and almost everything in between.

The couple of questions I have asked thus far have been answered quickly, accurately, and respectfully! That is rare in an Internet forum and speaks volumes for the type of folks here!

I have a pretty pedestrian gun collection:
M77 (tang safety) 7mm Mauser - this is my main hunting rifle
Shiloh Arms 45-70 Sharps replica - no clue yet how to use this right, but I am working on it
10/22 - mine is a piece of junk , but I can usually get the gopher if I shoot enough
Winchester 22-250 with a bull barrel - varmint rifle
Winchester Model 12 youth 20 gauge - upland game and HD
870 12 gauge Wingmaster - upland game and waterfowl
Ruger Single Six .22
Ruger Security Six .357
S&W 657 .41 mag 3" nickel finish - I am not man enough for this pistol!

Well, I guess it's time...

...to introduce myself?! I'm not-so-new, as I've been perusing this site for some time now...though I've only posted once, I love reading (most) of the threads on here. I've seen some pretty disturbing posts, but I guess that's to be expected anywhere you go?!

I'm just south of Atlanta...don't own any guns (yet), but I'm leaning towards purchasing a Glock 23 for my first (and maybe only) one. I've only shot on two separate occassions, but I absolutely love it!!! ;) My husband doesn't know what to think of my new-found interest as he is rather neutral on the issue...but Daddy is thrilled LOL I look forward to reading and learning more...thanks in advance!

I'm new. Hi. I qualified as an expert marksman in the military, but i do not own any firearms. Ironic huh? I'll soon purchase some.

Hello all. I am a new member and not very Computer Friendly. I have joined these discusions hopefully to get some advice on reloading my 338 win mag for ultimate knockdown at 300 yards or less with a 225 Barnes Triple Shock Bullet. I have grown up hunting all of my life and love the freedoms that we take for granted everyday. We may not be perfect, but we are still the greatest Country in the World Today. God Bless America.

Hi I'm Ian2005

I live on The FiringLine.com, which looks just like this place. I think it's the same Form you can use to create a Forum - laff. :neener:

Anyway, I'm just going to ask questions and hassel people I think are full of it.

Good enough? No One reads this drivel anyway.

My name's Dean, and I live in Maryland. I used to live in Pennsylvania, and the differences between the two places are always interesting.

I have some interest in concealed carry, target pistols, hunting rifles, trap/bird shotgun, and how best to expose new folks to shooting.

Hi! Time I introduced myself, although I have been coming by for awhile and posted once. I just had to say something about Chucks Gun Store in Riverdale IL. Anyway, most of my hunting was rabbits, squirrels and such, partly raised here, mostly though in Cook Co., Chicago IL. Always went to KY to hunt, though did some fishing in IL. Moved to MD(Maryland)-after I retired in '96. Did no hunting there at all. Moved back to KY after I got very ill, now disabled, unable to work. Thought I would never hunt or fish again. How ever, my recovery is much better than expected. Went deer hunting last fall, first time in years, about the third time in my life. It was great, didn't get one, but to get out there and see a couple does was enough. Plan to go this season to. I have a Stevens 200 .243 win, Mossberg 500, gauges 12 & 410, and CVA 50 cal Bob Cat & Stag Horn muzzle loaders. I am a 2nd Amendment absolutist, I believe in the right to "Keep & Bear Arms" concealed carry, with just the obvious, common sense restrictions (NO firearms for ex-cons or those WHO truly are dangerous to society, for example). I believe in the right of personnel defense, of you, and your family. "Zero tolerance" and "gun free zones" are now & continue to be a recipe for disaster. Well, that's enough blathering.

Really. New members should take that suggestion to heart. :)

There are LOTS of senior members here that read extensively, and value the civility of the forum.
And even if we aren't mods, we know where that "report post to a moderator" button is.

Fortunately, we have to use it very rarely.

But we will use it if necessary.
Helps keep things relatively sane.

;)

Welcome in, everyone.
