Good Friday afternoon. As you can tell I just joined today. My passions are watches, the Texas Longhorns and guns, primarily 9mm metal semi-autos.

Welcome, Saguy46! You have found a nice place to talk about firearms. Find and read the postings for new members. We stay away from politics and we try to keep it civil here. There is a wealth of information from a wide variety of members, so sit a spell.

Greetings everyone. I am a former avid reloader and shooting sports enthusiast that has not been at the reloading bench since 2006 when my career got too busy for me to spend any time reloading. I am in the process of cleaning up my reloading bench that has sat idle for the past 16 years. The bench is in an air conditioned finished basement, so the components are still in good shape.

Here is the bench as it sits now, after years of neglect and in need of a proper cleaning and organizing before I resume reloading:

    IMG-2137.jpg

One lucky thing I did was to stock up on primers, powder, bullets and brass before I put my reloading on hold back in 2006. So now I have plenty of components without having to try and find them in today's scarce and expensive marketplace. I have sold many of my guns over the last 16 years, but I still shoot 38/357, 40 S&W, 12 Gauge and 22 long rifle and pistol. My only larger caliber rifle is my Stainless Rossi Lever 357 Carbine. I don't typically reload nor shoot necked cartridges. Lately I have been enjoying shooting the Bond Arms Roughneck Derringer. I have barrels for 38/357, 40 S&W, and 45 Long Colt / 410 Ga.

Once I get my bench cleaned and organized, I'll post pics in the reloading forum if anyone is interested.

Welcome, 3sport! We are pleased that life has settled down a bit so you can attend to reloading therapy again. There should be plenty of information and support here. Check out THR primer thread in general gun discussion, and make yourself at home!

Howdy, Arctic Linebaugh. We are pleased that you decided to throw in with this motley outfit. If you will give the THR primer a quick read, you should be good to go. I don't know how many Linebaugh buffs we have on board, but I suspect you will soon enough. Enjoy!

Hello. I just joined this forum recently in order to try and learn from others as well as share my knowledge that I have accumulated over the time I have been into firearms. I was actually a late bloomer into shooting, starting at the age of 24, but once I started then I maintained a diligent track of trying to learn as much as I could. Once a month I would go to the range and shoot a different handgun to get a feel for the variety that was out on the market. I also eventually tried shooting a couple shotguns, then about a year later I tried pistol caliber carbines and a rifle.

During this time, I also went through a ton of videos on gun, initially focusing on the mechanisms aspect and how they function. Eventually, I moved over to content that provided tips and tactics on how to increase my marksmanship skills. After that, I shifted towards videos that talked about the legal aspect of owning and using firearms. Hopefully, I can do my best to share my knowledge with everyone else since I accumulated quite a lot of it and attempted to document it in an organized and easy to read fashion. I basically condensed years worth of video watching into a file that can be read in one or several days.

Welcome, boredkender! Thank you for joining and sharing the benefit of your experience and wisdom. I encourage folks to review the THR primer and help make this a refuge from the ill-tempered commentary that has become common on the internet. Enjoy!

Welcome all new members. At first, I was fairly skeptical about the standards of any club or forum that would let ME join. To my surprise, everything here is good.

Hello everyone. Hope I can answer questions and be of service. I mainly like older firearms. If a weapon and its cartridge gets the job done, then it does. For instance, I like the .303 British. The "new" 6.5 Creedmore has the same ballistics as the old 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser. I like aperture sights, but now at my age (old) use scopes more often. I am a big believer in using one's rifle sling to increase accuracy. I was on my high school rifle team and thus it is rifles that are near and dear to my heart. Dad and his brother were in WWII (European theater), that uncle of mine earned his Bronze Star, big time, scary/hideous what he endured. Searching through this site tells me that I'll be able to learn a lot. I've got family hobo stories from the 1930s and 40s, thus my user name. Those hobo stories are grim. Both sides of my family were born beyond poor (Southern Appalachia), but the American Dream worked for them, me, and now my kids and grandkids. Blessings to the USA. Blessings to y'all.

Hello, I'm fairly new to this forum. Made an account last month so that I may be able to converse with others about Military surplus, Firearms history and gunsmithing. Firearms have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember and Military firearms development and history has always been very fascinating to me. I hope to gain a lot of knowledge from this forum that will allow me to further my passion to a greater extent

I don't really need an introduction. You all know me, from my various famous movies. I'm here to share my experience and knowledge. If anyone is looking for acting roles in any of my straight to blu-ray movies...hit me up. I walk with an air of confidence rarely seen in this day and age.
    /s

Sarcasm aside I look forward to getting to know all of you and share what we know with each other.

Welcome Steven Seagull, I too am into a bit of acting! Like trying to ACT all innocent when being stopped for speeding or Acting like I know all the answers but being gracious enough to let others answer first or Acting like it is illegal to shoot a Buck with a doe gun and convincing the wife that I need a "buck gun" in order to be legal. How about Acting it is illegal to remove a scope from a rifle once the scope is sighted in and that , by law, I have to have a scope for each rilfe I own.. I know I am going to hell when I die but in the mean I get a lot of cool hunting and reloading stuff.

Welcome aboard, tueri. Sorry to be late with this, but happy to have you with us in any event. Please check out the THR primer when you have the chance, and pitch right in. As you read in the code of conduct, we try to be respectful and family friendly, avoiding political disputes and focusing on our mission. We are more restricted than many forums, but the idea is to focus on information rather than egos and nonsense. I hope you will enjoy what we have to offer, and pitch in with your own experience as well.
