I have lurked here a time or two before (maybe three....) and decided to register this evening.

Basic run of the mill Gun Person, I have several types in several calibers

hand guns in 22LR, 32 ACP, 32 H&R Magnum & 9 MM

Long Guns in 22 LR, 9 MM, 30-30 & .308

and of course a scattergun or three.... I particularly enjoy the quiet 4Ten, I have solid brass for reloading that one, as well as solid brass in 12 gauge.

A small hobby level machine shop.... two mills, three lathes....

But the worst part of all above is my MIND!!!

Viet Nam Veteran and that is about all for now...

The Highroad appears to be a super site. Lots of knowledge out there!

Wife and I are retired.

My wife and I have our Florida CC permits, and NRA members.

Live in central Florida, currently have a Tarus 357 model 617 -- wheel gun which will soon be traded for something lighter--more usable carry.

We enjoy both sailing and power boating and travel.

New guy here

Haven't spent much time here yet. Mostly hang out at Rimfire Central & Savage Shooters.
I shoot a lot of rimfires, mostly .22lr & .17HMR. I have the usual centerfire rifles - looking to purchase a .22 centerfire, either a .223 or 22-250, in the near future. Have couple of hand-guns but probably won't be purchasing too many more of these.
Looking forward to furthering my education.

Hello, My new member statues means I should be able to make a few mistakes and be forgiven.
I have been proud to carry my CCW in Michigan since its inseption. Before losing my leg to diabetes and also several nerve problems I enjoyed my 9mm and 45 Ruger autos but since October of 2006 I found it harder to rack my autos and also clean. I sold them and went to revolvers, a taurus snub 38 special and a 4inch ported stainless 357 tracker, hence my name here. I have been totally satisfied and of caurse cleanings a breeze. I use Bianca right handed holsters but being in a wheelchair I have been considering a cross draw. Any comments on them? Thanks and have a great evening.

No worries there, this is without a doubt the most civilized bunch of yahoos on the entire internet. Glad to have ya aboard!
Sorry to hear about the diabetes, I got syndrome X (type II) so I gotta diet like my life depends on it--cause it does.
Ahh a wheel gun man. I have just recently acquired my first couple of wheel guns, and I gotta say I am liking them.
I don't own, but have shot a Taurus .38 snubbie, nice pistol.
Anywho, there is section for pistols where you may get more responses:

Good luck.

Hi !

Welcome to THR ! Don't worry about mistakes, everybody here makes them.

If they didn't ,they would likely be chased down and nailed to a cross .

Sorry to hear about the diabetic problems. I am also diabetic and so far only minor problems in comparison. Other health problems however have me on the disabled list as well .

I also have Taurus revolvers that I use ,and I carry a M731 Titanium. I am still upright with a cane so I pocket carry this model . I am not much help with cross draw, but that would seem like a good option for you in a chair.

A small fanny pack turned forward might also work well - closed with a velro strip .

evenin' all,

Name's Jeff. originally an Ozark hillbilly now resident in Scotland.
Nice to meet y'all

Hello all,

I am new to the forum as well as to the gun world. Just recently bought a glock 17, and got introduced to guns by my future father in law when we went deer hunting. I am city boy from brooklyn, ny living in houston texas for now.

In Port Seton East Lothian, about 20 mi. east of Edinburgh and 100 mi south of Aberdeen (I think) it's a fair ways to Aberdeen anyway

hi. i'm located in new jersey. i don't hunt, i'm not a law enforcement officer, just like to shoot. strictly handguns so far. my goal: get groups at 25 yards like the ones i can get at 25 feet.

i've learned quite a bit reading here, and i finally registered one day when i thought some experience i had might be of benefit. i've been hanging out here, rimfire central, and at the cz forums, among other places.

Hello. My name is goblin and I am mainly interested in discussions about firearms,SHTF preparedness, Mountain Men history and post-apocalyptic movies. I am retired from city govt. and live just north of Dallas Tx. Oh and I really like to use the smileys in my posts.

Hi all, my name is Matt. Long-time reader, first time poster.

19-y-o arcaheology undergrad, University of Exeter, Devon. (That's the South-West of England BTW ;-) )

Been a regular shooter at our uni's target-rifle club since September (yeah I'm just a noob). Recently elected next year's armourer and I have assumed this position a little earlier than usual, since the current one is apprently too busy to give a couple hours a week... Anyhoo, I've been interested in firearms for all their (morally justifiable, if not legal in this country) uses for a while and will eagerly argue the case for RKBA etc. whenever the case arrises (though politely, eloquently and logically, even if I do say so myself ;-) ).

I am a new member

Looks like a great site. I finally got my CPL and I will be flying home tomorrow from Dallas to Detroit. I will pick up my license on Friday, I will only be there for 4 days and flying back to Dallas (working) so I will not be able to get my handgun registered until third week of June when I fly back for a few days. I will be putting a deposit on a Para Warthog .45, love the looks of the Warthog. So many other great handguns out there, I was thinking about a Keltec P32 for a secondary weapon. Looking for any feedback on both guns.

Hi,
I live in Bristol, UK, was born in Poland. I don't feel like carrying gun myself (this is more man thing ;) but I find it interesting and I' curious about cultural difference between Europe and America when it comes to carrying guns.
