Hello, everyone!
I've been a gun owner for a good 18 years. I'm not a hardcore gun enthusiast, which is to say I don't know much about guns except that I like them a lot but I'm also a sponge for info that interests me. I use it mostly for target shooting and for personal defense. My criteria for buying or choosing guns is pretty simplistic: price, reputation, feel, aesthetics, and reliability. Of course, I don't always get all five; sometimes I even settle for 3/5.
Here is the list of guns that I own as of today: a Glock 17 (sans tactical rail - '91), an S&W .357 magnum revolver (686), a Kimber Custom II, and a CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical (with Bayonet/Tactical LIght/Green Laser - I know, I know, its practically useless but it looks really cool). As I said, I'm not very knowledgeable but I know what I like, popular or not.
I do need some advice. I fell in-love with a Standard Browning Hi-Power 9mm that I saw at a gun place but it was a much older model and since I'm not gun-savvy, I passed. Anyhow, I recently saw an FN High Power 9mm (Parkerized) Model 88 (comes with 1 10-rd mag/bore brush/manual/warranty card/original box/serial number confirmed) whose owner claims that he has never shot it. From the looks of the pistol, its difficult to argue against him.
Here's my dilemma: I want to purchase THAT gun but he is asking $850 for it. Should I pass that up or is that a fairly decent price for this gun???HELP!
