Born and raised in Sweden where handguns aren't available, I moved to South Carolina 6 years ago, got married, started a family, and went on to buy my first pistol about a month ago. A Ruger MKIII 22/45 SS.

I now find myself spending way too much time on THR and other sites in search of my next few purchases... Next is probably a Model 10, as soon as I find one for a reasonable price.

Hi, new guy here. I'm Joe from Florida. I'm 34, a Cancer, and I like jazz, candlelit dinners, and long walks on the beach. :D

Look forward to talking with you all about guns.

hey guys, after using a fairly inactive forum in the past, i decide to give this one a try. looks great so far, and have come here in the past to browse.

Howdy all, I'm new here! just recently reacquired the gun bug and need to quench the critter in hopes of it diminishing. In other words the gun nut syndrome has hit me again.
I enjoy all types, colors, sizes, etc. but in particular S&W combat masterpiece's and magnum's generally model 15's and 19's but its all good. By the way, I am in need of an FFL holder in the Space Coast area of Fl. any takers?
thanks and have a great day!

Hello

Been working with computers for only a few years, and only in the last year have I descovered forums. It seems like another world, at times...

At any rate, I am just another fellow who has firearms in his lifestyle. Mostly a handgunner, I am especially fond of Rugers, and do frequent the rugerforum.com quite a bit since joining. Also like my Sigs (a P228 and 226 Platinum elite) and Detonics. There are others, and to be honest, if it shoots, I probably would find it interesting.

I have grown up around/with guns my entire life, and consider that a blessing. Looking forward to being a member here, and share what little I "know" (I find this changes daily!), and I'm sure, will learn even more. Y'all have a good day...

Hi I have been a member for awhile but have not posted. I was once a LEO, many years ago. That is how I got interested in firearms. I like'em all. Fat ones, skilly ones.

Hello all! I am a new member to this forum and also new to guns. I was first introduced to guns by my boyfriend about two years ago and I must say, I quite like them. I still have a lot to learn and I'm sure you all will be of great help with that.

I'll be turning 21 next year and am very excited about getting my concealed handgun license. Not to mention, being able to purchase my very first handgun. I have set my heart on the CZ 75.

I have just gotten started on my collection with a Norinco SKS and a Benelli Nova Shotgun for home defense. Unfortunately most of my money goes toward school but once that is out of the way my little collection will grow.

52, Southwesterner, small business owner. Big Beretta fan. Also a Weatherby .243 VarmintMaster. And an AR15, just in case and it's sure fun to shoot.

Most intrigued with semi-autos. Carry a Springfield XD .40 SC for CC, and also a Beretta Cheetah .380 nickel (got tired of waiting for a PX4 Storm Subcompact, and decided that the Cheetah is the most beautiful handgun I've seen). XD shoots great - but it's a tad top heavy, imo, and also I REALLY wish it had a manual safety.

HD is Beretta 96 .40 with laser grips, OD (office) is Beretta 96 .40.

I've been lurking here for awhile, just reading and observing - this site is populated with very pleasant, courteous members. I'm happy to have found it.

Can't wait to talk shop!

S&W 38 special questions?

I am new to sight. I have a S & W 38 special CTG. Serial number 592XXX. Looking for information on this piece along with any monetary value? Thanks

Hello all. I'm new on here and new to shooting beginning last Spring. I've been searching the net for months trying to learn more about guns, safety, cleaning etc. and I kept running across this site, so I decided to join.

My first choice was a Ruger Mk 111 which is great for practice! Just a bit of a pain to take down and put back together, but I've gotten that under control. My most recent purchase was a 1957 K 38 6". I truly love that gun!

Anyway, nice to have this forum for it's source of info.

Hello.

I have been shooting on and off for approximately 18 years. My interest in firearms is target practice -- mainly paper, glass and aluminum -- and self-defense. I live and work in South Orange County in Southern California and every day is a beautiful day.

My handgun collection: CZ 75B-SA 9mm, CZ P-01, Beretta Neos, SIG Mosquito. My rifle is a CZ 452 Training. I plan to add a Springfield Armory XD-45 GAP soon and a yet-to-be-determined shotgun at some time in the future.

Thanks for this positive forum and have a great day.

I live in Utah where hunting is a part of life - I've been hunting for 40+ years mostly big game - I like long guns but really enjoy hand guns of any kind. I'm currently looking for some parts for a Mossberg model 810AH in 30.06. If you know where I can find parts let me know

thanks

Odd question....

I'm from Dallas, and live either there or nearby, depending on the job at hand. My interests are rifles and pistols, but if it goes "BANG", I'll prolly pay attention to discourse on it.

This is something of an odd question, but..... Is there anyone on this forum who lives in or near Lajitas, TX?

Newbie

Hello, everyone!

I've been a gun owner for a good 18 years. I'm not a hardcore gun enthusiast, which is to say I don't know much about guns except that I like them a lot but I'm also a sponge for info that interests me. I use it mostly for target shooting and for personal defense. My criteria for buying or choosing guns is pretty simplistic: price, reputation, feel, aesthetics, and reliability. Of course, I don't always get all five; sometimes I even settle for 3/5.

Here is the list of guns that I own as of today: a Glock 17 (sans tactical rail - '91), an S&W .357 magnum revolver (686), a Kimber Custom II, and a CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical (with Bayonet/Tactical LIght/Green Laser - I know, I know, its practically useless but it looks really cool). As I said, I'm not very knowledgeable but I know what I like, popular or not.

I do need some advice. I fell in-love with a Standard Browning Hi-Power 9mm that I saw at a gun place but it was a much older model and since I'm not gun-savvy, I passed. Anyhow, I recently saw an FN High Power 9mm (Parkerized) Model 88 (comes with 1 10-rd mag/bore brush/manual/warranty card/original box/serial number confirmed) whose owner claims that he has never shot it. From the looks of the pistol, its difficult to argue against him.

Here's my dilemma: I want to purchase THAT gun but he is asking $850 for it. Should I pass that up or is that a fairly decent price for this gun???HELP!

Hey, ya'll...New guy here...Thanks for such a great site, great people...I'm
married, retired Army, and a stay at home dad. I love shooting and hunting, and have a decent collection of armament, of various styles. It's nice to read about other peoples interests, and share info...Maybe someone out there could enlighten me on an ammo question...(Not sure how to start a new thread...)
I recently purchased a new S&W M&P "optics ready" flat-top AR 15...I'm shopping for bulk ammo for it, and I've been told to stay away from Wolf ammo...I know that at least some of their ammo has a polymer coating on it..what other reasons are there, and has anyone had good/bad or damaging results from using the stuff...Both a gun store employee(very knowlegable guy) and a S&W employee told me this...If this is inapropriate for this thread, I apologize, and someone let me know how to properly introduce the subject....Thanks
Tacbandit Out...
