Hello All,

I'm Alex, from Maryland. I'm from the Baltimore area but go to school in Western MD (Frostburg). I try and go to the range once or twice a month with friends and family. I have a Mossberg 550 rifle barrelled pump w/ scope, CZ 9 mm, S&W .38 special, M1 Garand, 2x Sako .308 (bolt+lever action), Springfield 30.06, and some rifle my dad brought back from Vietnam *lol*.

Looking into buying an AR of some sort in the near future, possibly something historic as well, such as a Gewehr 43.

Hello everyone, names James and I am addicted to guns. I take every chance I can get to clean, load, fire, clean, admire and acquire new guns.. I have everything from .22 to 12 ga. but always looking to adopt more. Have a great day! J

I am new here and have quick question.

I have a Kimber Eclipse Pro II, I put in an 18lb. spring and a new firing pin spring. Shot approx. 100 rounds. When I went to strip the gun for cleaning the the plug set on the guide rod was stuck in the action. I had to bang it out. Now the lip on the plug does not want to enter the hole on the action so I can put it back together. The lip does show some damage but I don't see why the lip would catch?????

PLEASE PM ME!!! I CAN'T SEEM TO SUBSCRIBE TO THIS THREAD. THIS FIREARM HAS BEEN WITH ME FOR 5 YEARS NOW AND THIS IS A FIRST. PLEASE HELP ME OUT PEOPLE...THIS IS MY BABY...

Steyr AUG or .50 cal?

Hello! I'm in Texas and am looking to invest in some guns. I have purchased the regulars, but am looking for a big purchase on either a Barrett .50 cal semi or a Steyr AUG full auto. Money for only one! Will have to pay off the Steyr in 3 months. I know they are two totally different guns, but anybody got any suggestions on which would be the best to buy for fun and investment or worse case scenario?

Hi.
I'm new on here, I've been reading a lot of threads already buit just got around to registering and posting.

I recently picked up my first rifle I know a lot of people hate them but it's a remington 710. In 300 wyn mag.

I got it real cheap though and for a first firearm I like it.

and a Maryland State Police applicant.

Hello!

I am a new member to this forum, and I look forward to learning from you fellows. I live in N. Utah, and am a retired USN BMCM. I enjoy buying old guns, fixing them up, learning as much as I can about them, test firing them, and then either put it away in my safe or sell them to finance my next project.
I have fun doing this, and it keeps me "out of the bars and off the street" as my wife of 40 years would say!

Hi

I have been thinking about get a Remington 1858, and just happened to find this really cool site by chance.

I am out in the woods a lot and love to carry.

I saw the 336 club when researching my first hunting rifle and since then have posted a few times. Just now saw the New Member thing. Figured I should do it. Love just about everything about the outdoors. So I guess if you can Hunt, Fish, Hike, Camp, Cook, and Fornicate then I love all those things as well. This is a great site and learning a whole lot. Keep up the good work!!!

Good day to all. I found this forum while searching for info on replacement stocks for a Mossie 500 .410 moderated I'm about to buy. Saw some interesting posts and decided to join.

Hello everyone, I'm Sam. I've been hunting and shooting my whole life. I enjoy gunsmithing, reloading, and shooting pretty much anything you can stuff a bullet into. In the process of procuring my FFL so I can start up a small business.

Introduction

Hi,
My name is Dennis. I am a new member and have been hunting nearly all my life like most of you I suspect.I live in loudon county VA. great hunting here.
I have just pick up a couple of new shotguns to add to my collection. I am a coutry Boy That likes to hunt. Most of the hunting when i was younger was out of nessecity. Now i hunt for the sport and some tenderlion or turkey now an then. When i was a kidd my step father would send us out with a couple of shells and if we did,nt come back with some food or shell well lets just say you had better have came home with something. We would run trout lines accross the river leave em for a couple of days and come back and drag in our reward sometimes good sometimes bad. The funnest thing we did was he would ride arround the fields in his old catty in the dark allong the fence lines of the fields we would sit up in the window on the passenger side and pick off rabbits as he spotted for us. Now i know thats Illegal but that is how we got a meal in a pinch besides it was abbout 40 YR. ago. At any rate i look forward to having time to chat with you people on line thanks for your time. Dennis

Hi,

I've been watching this forum for a while and decide to join. I hope to learn and share.

I'm from the Hoosier state and I like military surplus and blackpowder firearms.

I'm really impressed with the site and hope I can find my place.

Hey IJ... welcome. If you use a little imagination I'm sure you can guess what the L in CoLJ stands for. Seems there are a few of us out there. Also from IN, but no longer. From what part of the great state of Indiana do you hail?

Newbie

Hello, I've been lurking for some time and finally registered. My name is Jason, I live in Washington state & own several guns none of which I'll advertise. I love my guns, I love my country and want to preserve and even get back all of our rights guaranteed by the Constitution.... one day.

Anyway, I shouldn't have joined up so close to the election as this is a particularly heated race this year, so I'll steer clear of the political areas of the forum for a while.

BTW, it's a nice forum that you have here!

Hello, I have been looking around THR for some time, and just decided recently to register. As far as shooting goes, I do four position small-bore indoor shooting every week, along with some shooting with different firearms on the side. In my off time I work on designs for different types of firearms, which is something I am very interested in. Other than that, I am sure you will find out more as you read my posts.

Welcome to everyone.

Please take the time to look around and read what's available. The THR Library is a marvelous resource all by itself.

If you search for the answer to a question you'll find plenty of knowledgeable folks around to help.

Remember that THR is intended to be a place where civil discussions of firearms issues takes place. Our mission is to serve as a clear counter to the characterization by the antis that RKBA advocates are a bunch of juvenile vulgar posturing thugs that can't be trusted with firearms.
