New member still trying to figure the site out. I have referenced this site a few times in the past but haven't come up with a solution to this one. I know this has been talked about before, but I have a Yugo SKS (don't know why) and have the cycling problem. I just put a new tapco hand guard gas tube, and a CNC machined gas valve on and it still won't cycle any kind of ammo. I think it might end up as a tomato stake next year. I am at wits end with this thing. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you, Nick :cuss::cuss:

Editing to add:

Hey guys, JAFO and checking in. Military (USMC), own several guns from AR-15 to .45 sidearm. (BTW, Nhasson, if you've replaced the gas tube and valve(?), check your bolt/carrier. Had limited experience with AK's, 47 and 74. Sounds like your cycling problem may lie there, could be wrong. It may be worth a look, though.) Reservist in the Corps, been in the Desert back in '91. Joined the Navy in between, came back to the USMC. Just feeling my way around, hope I'm not intruding.

Remington 7400 semi-automatic rifle, .270 Rem. ca. w/Simmons AETEC

Glad to meet all of you, looking forward to it.

Just joined. Generic civilian guy, and I live in the Los Angeles area. Work on movies as a sound editor / designer. I love shooting, but I work a lot so I savor every chance. I have 3 M14 pattern rifles, an FN SPR A3G, and a bunch of Glock 9mm pistols. I like .308, 9mm, and .45 ACP best so far. Great to be here!

yep I'm a new member

Have to be honest I found this forum doing a web search on Beretta 390's because of a problem I'm having with mine. But a bit about myself, I'm a 43 y/o firearm enthusiast primarily through being a lifelong waterfowler. Although I'm interested in all firearms and I own several rifles and pistols, my primary interest is in shotgunning as that is where I fire the most rounds.

keep on gunning and cheers,

David

Upstate NY shooter

Okay, I registered a day ago. Pistols are my forte...but I do well enough with long guns too. I am a NY State Court Officer and Soldier. Did time in the 7th and 25th Infantry Divisions as an 11BC2...means I was a ruck humpin' tank killer. Since I have 3.5 yrs till my retirement, I intend to go Distinguished-Pistol by the end of my service time. I have shot competitively for 5-8 yrs in the Guard.
My interests are vast and varied...from edged weapons combatives to leather working. I enjoy muzzle loading rifles and archery. I'm a DEC tracker and I instruct(when I can) in wilderness survival and tracking. As my knife habit gets fed from time to time...oh hell...I'm running out of room for my toys! I probably have over 180 knives. Most are investment pieces but more than few are for everyday carry. I have a part-time sharpening business and the scars to prove it.
My pistols consist of...S&W Mdl. 66, .357 Mag., Springfield Mil Spec 1911A1 .45, Sig P226 .40, Sig P228 9mm, Glock 19 & 26, Kel-Tec P3AT and soon I will add a S&W Mdl 56 DEVEL 9mm!!!
Muzzleloaders include a Thompson Pennsylvania Hunter .50 flintlock and a JUKAR(CVA?) .45 Kentucky rifle(percussion) and matching pistol too.
Long guns are numerous...Bushmaster M4, Enfield #4 Mk.3, Romanian AK, Russian M38 in 7.62x54R, a couple .22's and a NEF .17. My Kel-Tec Sub 2000 is always near by. Also in the mix is a Norinco 12 gauge with rifle sights. I think there is also a Springfield M6 Scout combo in the safe too....22/.410 over/under.
So that is a little about me and my toys. Hit me up sometime and we'll talk shop on just about anything!!!

Hi everyone...

Hi everyone, I´m Francisco, from Nuevo León (northern state from Mexico, bordering with Texas), and yes, I´m a big Winchester fan. :D

I hunt (medium game only) here in my fatherland, and currently own a .22 Colt Frontier Scout SAA; a Jed Williams .22 semi and a Winchester model 70 in .270 Win... to us in Mexico, it is quite difficult to get to own a firearm, specially now that thing are going bad with all the narcotics-based crimes going up high...

I may not participate much on this forum, since I don´t have much to share but so much to learn, but I will do bother you guys with many, many questions... :D

Here´s a pic of me on one of my last huntings, here in my motherland, I´m the one holding the rifle, the one on the floor is my wild boar, please don´t get confused.:neener: (Pic. number 6).

Just found your site and it looks like a good one so I joined. I've been a gun 'enthusiast' for over 50 years and can enjoy it more since I don't work for a living anymore. I collect Belgium Browning 22's. My favorite hunting rifle is a 30-350 Remington Magnum that I built on a Remington 600 action about 30 years ago-long before the new 'short magnums' became popular. It's mounted on a Miller Precision fiberglass stock and has been Magnaported due to it's brutal recoil. Without the porting, my shoulder would be black and blue after 10-15 rounds. Never did figure out what made it kick so bad. Great shooter though-under 1" groups are standard. Other than that, I do hobby gunsmithing, love to reload all my own pistol, rifle and shotshell ammo and love to bust those clay birds. Don't hunt as much as I used to but still love to get into the woods.

Good Day,
I have been a lurker for a while but now I have no impulse control over posting a reply......
Lifelong shooter .30-06, .308, .223, .50 and .45 bp, .22, .357, .45.
A lot of Camp Perry style stuff with both handguns and long guns. I started shooting competitivly with my father at age 11.
Spent some time on vacation for Uncle Sam as a distance swimmer ect.
Look forward to the conversation.
Great forum.

Hi,
I'm Joe in PA and I'm primarily interested in firearms for self-defense.
I currently don't have much experience but am looking to finally start.

New member. Fan of all things Constitutional. Long-time semi-auto pistol guy, but just ordered my first rifle - SOCOM II.

Howdy.

Been bumping into this forum with many of my google searches over many weeks-finally had to sign on. I'm a shooter and a cyclist. Am armed most all of the time. Regressing into flintlocks presently.

Carry on.

Hi, I own some guns and stuff. I just got my CHL here in Oregon. I am getting used to packing heat every day. I have to put my keys in my left pocket now. The NAA guardian 32cal goes in the right. There was a ruger LCP in there for a week or so but we all know where that is now. When it gets back I'm going to take it in for trade on a huge revolver.

Hello

I'm new to the site. I am a Canadian Soldier, training as an Ammunition Technitian. I have many interests including: long guns, hand guns, Lmgs, Gpmgs, Hmgs, explosives and artillery. I hope that I can learn from everyone on this site and maybe even bring in information of my own. As Canadian laws are far more strict than US laws I'm living vicariously through all of you that can have the toys that I can't :what:

Hello from Katy,Texas

I'm mainly a pistol fan,own Beretta ,Walther,Bersa. I no longer hunt, but support those that do. I'm more concerned with two legged threats than any
game animal. Also concerned with threats to our liberty, and I see many of them. Some guy in a cave with a laptop ,handing out box cutters? I don't see it. A complete standown of our Air Force? An airplane actually GETTING to the Pentagon? Anyway I rant....
