hello everone i've been looking around for awhile , love gunsand everthing to do with the outdoors. hopeing to meet some like minded people

Hello Folks,
Just recently completed CWP class and joined the NRA. Bought a S&W Model 10 at a local gunshow and started pouring over the internet looking for details on the gun. That is how I found this website. Looks like there is a ton of info here on just about anything gun related. Can't wait to jump in and explore!

Glad to be a part of THR

I live in SW Missouri, former Marine, current ARNG. Own AR-15, RIA 1911A1, Savage MkII. The 1911 is my latest addition, and I am loving it to death. I am considering a 1911 4" in .40 down the road as a carry gun. I am also looking into different options as far as coming up with a hi-cap (10+) bolt action rifle on a budget (read: Poor Man Sniper Rifle). Anyone have any insight on that?

I have been referred to individual threads here for years on one subject or the other and have several friends who are long-time members here, but just never signed up myself.

For those of you who are also active over on AR15.COM, yes I am that "HardShell."

Anyway... 42yo father of three, lifelong gun enthusiast and obsessive collector, church-goer, active in local & state politics and legislative advocacy, career professional in the field of public health (maternal and child health, specifically).

Oh, and my wife and I, along with all three of our children, are NRA Life Members (I bought each of the kids a LM on their 1st birthday :D).

Glad to be here! :)

Hello folks,

Recently bought my first pistol in a long time (over 15 years) - Glock 19. Took an NRA course at a local gun club and applied for my CHP. Liked the club so much I joined it and sent my wife and daughters through the same course - a "girls only" version - and have been practicing as much as possible ever since. They are very good shots :)

Looking forward to many years of safe and fun shooting!

Hi all-

Figured it was about time a join a forum like this as I appreciate the company of gun fanatics such as myself. I have been shooting since I could walk... and am an avid gun collector (that is when I have the money to be). My goal is to eventually have 1 or 2 guns in every popular caliber.... and I have a long way to go!

Just another new guy

I was looking for something a bit different from the other forums I peruse. I thought this was a good one, and hope to contribute good content and maybe learn something.

Hi, from another Dang newbie,
My name is Bill and I'm a retired Deputy City Marshal, retired Bounty Hunter and a Viet Nam Vet. Right now I'm the proud owner of a Ruger Blackhawk Old Model .41 mag, Hi-Point C-9 9MM, H&A Kentucky Rifle and Kentucky Pistol (in process). I'm currently disabled. I hope one day to own a lever action in the .357 to .444 range. I'm six months into loading my own and have learned alot from this Forum. I thank you for that. I hope to learn more. Thats all folks.

As long as I breathe, I will be free.

Hello!

Hello all, I'm new to gun ownership, but I've always been an HK fan long before my first purchase... which happened to be an HK USP CT. Moving to purchasing a Springer Champ Op. Thanks for all the information you guys put on here its really helped save me a ton of money.

Cheers!

Howdy -- happened to stumble upon these forums when I was doing a Google search for the Browning BDA-380 and came upon the epic thread that's now six years old.

Have always had an interest in handguns (primarily semiautos), but since I've pretty much spent my entire life in the northeast, I've never seriously pursued it since getting the required permits just to target shoot is such a PITA.

Recently inherited my dad's 30 year-old BDA-380, so am trying to squeeze 10 years of pistol education into about two weeks...looking forward to learning more!

Andy

question on M1 Carbine 30 cal

Hello, I work at a sporting goods store. Last night I had a gentleman bring in his M_1 carbine 30 cal. It was beautiful. It looks as if it just came out of the box! I took down the serial number and took some photos. This gentlman stated he carried the weapon during the korean war. He wants to sell it. I am Interested and need to know where I can go to find out more about the rifle and give him a fair asking price. Any suggestions?
