I'm Grinstick. I live on a farm in Ohio. Retired and lovin it. If I'd known retirement was this much fun I'd done it right out of High School. I hunt my own property, and do a lot of target practice too. Always lookin for a good used rifle or hand gun that I don't have. A pistol is what you use to fight your way to your rifle .

Beretta 45LC

I’m new to THR. Within the past 9-months I purchased several handguns: Heritage 22mag, S&W 357mag and Beretta Stamped 45LC, all are revolvers. I prefer revolvers to automatics. It’s been awhile since I’ve fired any firearm. I have fired all of my handguns and am familiar with them. The one I’m most excited about is my 45LC, though I do have some questions about it.

I normally shoot the Magtech cowboy load and I like its balance and performance. The salesman at Cabalas who sold me the gun also sold me a box of Buffalo Bore + P, 325 gr. shells and said they would work just fine but warned it is a heavy load. Being away from guns for awhile, you might only imagine the shock I had when I fired it. Good grief, that’s one powerful bullet. I will not be shooting them that often but I’m wondering if the Beretta Stamped can handle these bullets safely over an extended period of time. Thanks.

Howdy folks

I've enjoyed this website for about 6 months and it's been a valuable education. So it's time to jump in.
I homstead In rural Oh. so I have a nice "backyard range" set up.
I won't be posting much because I type like a pumpkin.
Again thanks for all the info and now it's over to your auto-loader sub forum with a question.

Hi.

My name is charlie and I love to hunt and to shoot. Right now I'am working on setting up a Huskemaw scope on a pre 64 Winchester model 70 30.06. I reload every cartridge that I shoot and have been for the last 36 yrs. The article MOA and scope adjusting for dummies caught my attention and that is one of the reasons I registered.

I am new to this site, but find a lot of interesting info on here.

I began collecting handguns a few years ago and have a Sig 226 40 S&W, a S&W Sigma 9mm, a sweet old Colt 1903 .32 cal, a FEG P63 .380, a S&W .22, and a beauty of a Taurus P745 45ACP - blued and gold.

I just enjoy target shooting and have my CCP.

Merry Christmas Everyone

I'm new here as well, and also enjoying the many topics as well.

I'd never shot a gun before until earlier this year and I have been wanting to break into the scene ever since. I currently don't own any guns, but am planning on buying a shotgun after the new year. I'm still pretty green when it comes to this stuff, so any advice is always appreciated.

Merry Christmas everyone!

A big Howdy from Texas

Howdy all,
I'm new here, but not to guns....I like 'em all! I own a machine shop and also run a guide service, specializing in night vision and thermal hog hunts. In the business, we mainly use AR-10's and AR-15's, topped with 6x Gen3 night scopes and thermal weapon sights. In my personal collection, I've got smokepoles from 22LR to .50BMG.......so this place feels like home!
See ya.

Hello all,
Been lurking for a while, finally decided to join.
Born and raised in Athens, Georgia (Home of the Dawgs)
My first rifle was a Ruger 10/22 that is still the most accurate squirrel killer I've shot. After my 18th birthday I bought a Mossberg 835 and an interchangeable rifled barrel with scope. Great deer slug gun, as well as turkey and skeet shooter.
Just a few days ago after my 21st birthday, I bought a S&W Sigma .40 cal that I enjoy very much and carry all the time.
I aspire to be a police officer in the near future, after college. Till then, Im shooting on my own dollar :)
Glad to be here.
-J
