I've been looking at threads on THR for a long time and finally got around to making an account. I'm here pretty much for information about weapons before I buy them. If anyone has any military questions I should be able to help also.

hello everyone,
I am a new member although I have been watching thread here and over on TFA (Tennessee Firearms Assocition) forums for a while.

I am a Paramedic full time, but also volunteer as a firefighter and work with my local SO as a reserve officer. I have been raised around guns, and always had a passion for them, whether hunting or range shooting or for personal defense. I believe a well educated calm sober (sober being of sound mind) armed citizen is an asset to the community as well as themselves, however there are certain factions in this country now that wish to remove this asset and rob us of our rights and we must fight this as civil as possible, but we must not give it up.

I have the following guns
beretta tomcat 3032 .32 cal
spingfield xd40 .40 cal
taurus millenium pt-140 pro .40 cal
walther p99 .40 cal
glock 22
glock 26
taurus pt738 380 (wife carry weapon)
norinco sks chambered for 7.62
norinco ak-47 also 7.62
mossberg 500 12 gauge
Arisaka type 99 7.7mm, i think. need to have verified
springfield 03A3 30-06
and last but not least ar-15 chambered for 5.56

well enough about me, lets talk guns

My Names Justin Whitman im 20 im studing gunsmithing and i have a question. My mother inlaw has a 38 revolver that was used in the hatfield court shoothing and i was woundering the value of it or a little history of the gun. Thank you for ur time
Hey there. That's a cool little piece of history you have. I really couldn't tell you about the value of that gun, but I do know that if you ever wanted to actually sell it as a collector's item, you'd have to have some sort of proof that it was used in that shooting, something like a police report that has the serial number that matches the gun.

Hello Everyone,

I currently live in Middle Tennessee with my family.
I spent 5 years with United States Marine Corps and currently work as a systems technician for a major automotive company. I have a wife and 2 wonderful daughters. I love hunting, fishing, shooting, jeeps, and just about anything outdoors.

Hello my name is Michael. I come from New Zealand and am just getting into reloading and long range shooting. I am also interested in dabbling in gun smithing.

I own a Weatherby Vanguard 22-250 and my goal is to shoot a rabbit at 400m (yes I work in metric).

Hey,
Im from South Georgia, but currently reside in Athens, GA. I was raised on a cotton farm, so i got my start with Long Guns used for hunting deer, dove and hogs. I got into handguns after high school. As far as handguns go, i like Glock and 1911's. Other than my hunting guns (Benelli sbe 2, Browning a-bolt) im into AK47's. Good to be here.

From Kentucky

Hi, I'm in Ky and am an Appleseed instructor with my husband. An attendee pointed out this forum and I decided to come check things out.

I have a Sig pink mosquito (husband hates I have a pink gun), a Marlin 795, and a Ruger 10/22 with an adjustable Christy & Christy stock. First and foremost I'm a patriot who was awakened by the Appleseed Project. We have some shoots coming up, so I'll find where to post about those.

kyjam
p.s. nickname comes from being able to jam about any rifle handed to me... or at least I use to. ;)

New guy on the block

I was looking up a question in Google about how to install sling swivels on my Marlin stock and found this forum. I have been checking a couple of times a week and thought "might as well join".

Looks like you folks have a lot of knowledge and experience with fireamrs and shooting. I appreciate your strong support for the 2nd Amendment to the Constituion.

Look forward to participating.

Screen name is out of respect to Gerneral Joseph Stillwell, US Army. May he RIP.

THR Newby from Central Indiana

Hi, I have been stalking THR off and on and decided to register after swapping emails with Brad at Missouri Bullet Co. Thanks to all for posting on this great site.

I am a fan of Glock's, AR's and tactical shotguns. Hooked on USPSA, IDPA and Multi Gun Matches. Which has plummeted me in to reloading to support my shooting. Home range is Camp Atterbury Shooting Complex at the Johnson County Fish and Wild Life area. Getting ready to retire from the military and will have the time to enjoy my hobbies.

New guy here

Howdy, just found this forum and decided to join up. Life NRA since '76 and a shooter since '70 or thereabouts. Handguns and target more than anything else. Used to reload quite a bit and still have the bare essentials but haven't used them in a number of years. The ranges around my locality don't allow anything but factory ammo anymore. Anyhow, I'm sixty one years old and every day on the green side is a good one. :)

Hi All,
I've been lurking around here for a while just to get a feel for the place and I'm impressed. I'm what you might call an old newbie to handguns. I've wanted a permit for a zillon years, but never took the time to end the procrastination and actually go for it until recently. My wife and I are presently in the process of getting our permits. We live about 50 miles NW of Albany, New York, and I have purchased a Glock 26 and she went with a Walther P22. We are awaiting our reference checks, mental health checks, gun course, and finally a meeting with the judge. It ain't easy in this state!

Over the years, I've done some reloading. I began reloading shotgun shells and most recently, I'm into reloading Hornady Leverevolution for my Marlin 336C in .35 Remington. Years ago, many areas in our "southern zone" would not allow rifle - only shotgun for deer hunting. This has changed and rifle is now allowed in many "southern" areas. Where a 200 grain round nose was good for the "north" due to the woods and brush, a 200 grain FTX style will allow me to "reach out and touch a buck" across a corn field easily.

In closing, I'm glad to be here and I hope I can benefit this board in the future.

New from Austin, TX

Hi all, I'm new here. I have read this forum for several years, but have only absorbed the advice and information. I'm in Austin, TX. I'm an avid accumulator of pistols and make some custom gun leather once in a while to to eat. I appreciate all of the first hand knowledge that I have read here over the years.

New guy....introduction

Greetings Everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I am an active shooter, reloader, bullet caster and professional gunsmith from Bellingham WA. I am an O7 manufacturer / dealer FFL holder and WA state licensed firearm dealer. I operate a firearm repair and custom gun business full time. I have been lurking here and reading posts for several years. I don't have a lot of time to post and contribute as I am in the shop all day 5 days a week. Nice to be a part of what I know to be a fine group of folks.

Feel free to visit my web site but please be patient as it is going through some upgrades and some pictures are missing at this point.

Cheers
Mac.
