Welcome, before you know it you'll be a member at dozens of sites, sports, outdoors, cars, the list just keeps going.

Hi I am Dennis and I am in a wheel chair. I spent 20 years in the U.S. Army retired as an SFC. I live in Huntsville Alabama and carry a Beretta 92 FS compact in a fanny pack and my wife has a Ruger SR9. I shoot mainly 9mm but have a Ruger MKIII hunter for plinking. I am looking for a deep conceal 9mm that will not break the bank as I am on disability. Glad to be part of THR.

Bid you welcome...

Turbo--First of all, welcome to the club! I'm sure you'll learn a lot here (I sure have!) but also be ready to share your own shooting-related knowledge & experience--everybody's an expert on something!

FYI, the Stoney Point Overall Length Gauge is now called the Hornady Lock-n-Load Overall Length Gauge. Hornady bought the rights to it some time ago. Hornady hasn't changed anything about this device AFAIK, so if you have some parts of it from Stoney Point they still should work.

Midway USA doesn't list (Midway Catalogue #33) the modified case you need in .300 Savage. That could mean it's not made, or just that Midway doesn't choose to carry it. Or perhaps they'd have one but not put it in their catalogue. I think some 'phone calls would be in order--Call Midway and see if they have that case, if not, call Hornady and see if THEY have it, or if they'll make you up one special (pricey but as a last resort, better than nothing!)

Midway: 1-800-243-3220

Hornady: 1-308-382-1390 or 1-800-338-3220

I would call rather than writing or e-mailing, and ask to be connected to an expert if the salesperson can't help you. There's something about a live person on the 'phone that brings out a better, more complete response than does a piece of paper, IMX.

Oh, FYI again, I used 3 acronyms that get tossed around a lot on this forum. If you're not familiar (and forgive me for mentioning it if you are):
FYI = For Your Information
AFAIK = As Far As I Know
IMX = In My Experience

Anyhow, good luck in your quest, and once again, welcome to the forum!! :)

Hello, I am a currently a student but a non-traditional one. I spent 4 years in the Navy after which I spent 4 years working but due to a loss of that job I am back in school to earn an Engineering degree with my V.A. educational benefits. I have had an interest in firearms since I was a child and I do have a moderate collection. I have also started to reload, with my first batch of .45 LC just done this past week. I have also been looking into NFA items and starting a trust to procure those items. I've been meaning to join this forum for a while, since every time I google something firearms related, there is always a THR link that can answer my question or point me in the right direction.

Hi my name is Joe. I spent 21 years in the Army and have just started to get back into pistols. I have taken the Arizona CCW course. My current gun is a SA XD 1911. I started reloading 6 months ago and am totally hooked on it.

Hi! My name is Nick and I just joined up. I've been a lurker for a bit but just finally got around to registering. I am an avid shooter and collector. I am also an Arkansas CCW holder and supporter. Thanks to everyone for all the information that I've gained from this site so far.

hi, I'm new here, just thought I would drop a line before bed. I was raised on shotguns, and shooting trap competitively, but was away from it when I went to college. ( wow, that was a long time ago.....) Anyway, I have been active in recreational pistol shooting, ( not competitive ) for about a year now, and look forward to any advice, or knowledge I can gain at this site.

Welcome to all the new folk!

As always, it is recommended that y'all read the stickies at the top of each forum before diving in to the swirl and remember to mind the forum rules. Other than that - have fun. :)

Hey THR-ers. Lurked for a while, just now signing up to join in some discussions. Been shooting since about age 5 or so, love hunting, shooting, motorcycles, loud music, building stuff, etc.

See ya around the forums.

I am a new member as of a few days ago. I belong to a small town club/range that received its charter in 1928 where I can shoot 24/7. I practice almost weekly to keep my gun hand strait. While I have been an NRA member and CPL holder for some time I have just recently started expanding my firearms collection. I trust that this forum has the collective experience to help me when I have a nagging question and look forward to being an active member.

hello to all, i just joined due to the fact that i found tons of great info on this forum and have made decisions on two purchases because of it. I researched my decision for an MSAR STG 556 and an HK p30 here. Right now i'm looking into the new ATI HK clones they are importing.

I'm currently in the military and own a couple of black rifles. I'm also trying to go about getting an NFA trust started that way i can get my hands on class III stuff.

Hello, new guy here. Looks like a good forum. My interests run from flintlocks on through todays newest black stocked wonder guns.

John

Howdy all.

Been a longtime lurker and finally joined. Lots of great info on this site! I pretty much love to hunt and shoot guns. I've been doing it as long as I can remember. Grew up shooting mostly shotguns and rifles with a few revolvers in the mix. I finally started shooting semi auto pistols, which is way different than a revolver.

Hey Im Al im a 20 year old college studnet. I live in Michigan and I love boxing and baseball. I just sold my Walther p22 today and I am moving onto a 9mm handgun. I recently got into the firearms shooting and enjoy it very much!

Hey everyone I just joined a few days ago because it seems like every time I researched something it brought me here so it's only proper. I'm 23 and live in PA where I'm happy to say we have more rights than others as far as weapons are concerned, and hopefully soon adopting the castle doctrine. My fiance and I both enjoy shooting s&w m&p .45 taurus model 85 ultralight savage .22 lr NEF pardner home(made)defense 12 ga and lots more to come I posted a question about a custome AK47 so if you can answer that would be great thanks

Hi I'm a Newbie

Hello, this is Aditya from India. I found this forum site very interesting and exciting as I'm passionate about arms and own a 9mm pistol. Though, I'm fond of shotgun and its just the right kind of gun. It will be my privilege to become a member of this site and discuss issues related to guns. :)

Hello Everyone,

Conservative central Ohio native who likes wheel guns, lever action Marlins, muzzleloading and traditional archery. Got three dogs, a 4 wheel drive pick up (paid for) a loving wife, living in the woods, rubbing my guns, and going to church on Sunday.

Good Morning Gents, :)

New to the forum from Jacksonville, Florida.
I had a SIG P228 that was stolen and a WALTHER PPK .380 that
I gave to my brother, wish I still had both!

But that means I'm shopping........;)
I've just joined the BARETTA Forum, leaning toward getting a PX4 Storm COMPACT, either 9mm or .40, and I'm not really knowledgeable about handguns so I'll be learning a ton from you guys.........checking out all the popular guns. :what:

I am home healing from my appendix being taken out. I have a marlin 39 a 22 that was my fathers. When I was child my brother or I left it in the barn lot and the gun had lots of rust.It has been sence sanded down to the bare steel. Off and own I have been trying to fix this gun back up in to usable condition. It shoots great and pretty straight but I can not read the serial number to order parts and have no idea where the best place online is to get them from. Your help would be greatly needed so I hope to learn alot and get this gun up to usable condition. Mike

Hi everybody! I'm a Belgie, so sorry for my bad English! My only military experience is my Belgian national service in 1982-83 (a pure joke, with a Vigneron M2 submachine gun older than I) I prefer revolver over pistol, don't ask me why (but I love the Czech ČZ-75, especially the original "short rail" version, which is a pure beauty!) During the 80', I was sales rep for Czech firearms (Czechoslovakian indeed, Warpac time), S&W and Norinco. In the days when Belgian law allowed the possession of selective war firearms by law abiding citizens, I used to be a submachine gun collector, but fortunately – or sadly! - I sold them in time before that law became a real bitch!
This is only my second online forum (the first one is a French National Police shooters forum) and I'm very glad to be a new part of your community! Sure, I'm going to enjoy my stay!
