Well search engine's have been taking me to THR for years now researching any kind of gun information I might want to know so I figure it's about time I join. This is an awesome site loaded with good info.

About myself, I live outside St. Louis on the Illinois side of the river, um, NRA member, Army veteran and drilling reservist, artist, father, auto bodyman, free thinker, and fool.

First gun was a Mossberg 500, I bought the cheapest one I could find because I wanted a project as much as a gun. I'm very interested in gunsmithing, but no I am not by any means a gunsmith. I've got an AR-15 I've built and one of those EAA Sig Sauer clones.

Thanks THR and anyone else I may have gathered information from.

Hi everyone! New member here. I frequent multiple other forums and just decided to add this one to my list. I am a firearms instructor form Arizona and have an addiction to Sig Sauer handguns. I look forward to being involved here

Hello all, I'm a new member and my name is John. I've been around long guns and hunting most of my life, but I don't consider myself a gun expert. I have recently become interested in handguns from a personal defense perspective and come to this site to learn.

Hi all! I am a new member and new to gun ownership as well. I started out shooting my mother in laws' .38 revolver, and found I really enjoy target shooting. I am not very accurate yet but I'm having fun trying! I will have my ccw soon and plan to carry a .357 snub revolver. I wont carry it until my aim improves though. Looking for any advice and encouragement .:D

Hi, all. Long time reader and new THR member here. Came back from Iraq and off of Active status this Fall. Having kind of a difficult time adjusting back to being a civilian, but my friends both online and off are helping. Looking forward to being part of the community here!

How do. Just found the forum. I am from se Ar. Doubt I can offer much to the conversation just yet. Looks like I can learn a bunch tho.

I'm new to THR . I am a long time hobby gun wrecker,(tyro gunsmith),Big fan of 243 win, 3006, 358 norma,375 H&H, and have an ongoing love affair with The Gp 100 and N frame Smiths,(but mostly the Gp100).

Newbie :)

Hey. I have been reading through some threads for a while now, and finally decided to just join. Seems like a friendly site with plenty of information which I like :)

Looking forward to learning a lot, and I already have some questions so feel free to help.

Thanks!

What's up guys? my name is John but I go by JT. I've been in love with guns since my dad thought me to shoot his 1911 when I was seven. I just got my foid and I'm looking to acquire my first firearm. I've been reading the forum for a while, so I finally decided to register.

How's it going, everyone? My name's Cameron and I've been a member over at TheFiringLine for about a year and a half now. I've been reading THR for about that same timeframe, and have no idea why I never registered until now. I'm a college senior who'll be finishing my B.A. in May and going on to law school in August. I'm a member of the NRA and hold a Wyoming Concealed Carry permit, which also allows me to carry in roughly 1/3 of the USA.

I'm an auto aficionado and my favorite round is the .40 S&W. I have extensive experience with most common rounds, having shot since I was about five years old, and love them all in their own ways. My favorite make of pistol is Beretta.

Thanks for letting me join you! Here's to a lot of good discussions.

Hey folks,

I've done a lot of searching around for various info lately and this seems like a great forum. I'm retired USAF, kinda new to gun ownership, but not new to shooting. Moving around so much is one thing that slowed me from owning guns, but the desire has stayed alive my whole life. My Dad taught me to shoot a 22, and I shot an M-16 ok.

I have recently bought a S&W model 327 for my patience waiting, and I have a 30-06, a 380 for my wife to learn on, and I just put together a nice Ruger 22 for her this Christmas. Now if I could just get her interested in it...

I just got a reloading kit, still new in the box, and plan to build a bench to keep it organized, as soon as I can. Am reading everything.

In my past, I've shot trap, a few rabbits, squirrels, and one quail, but even though I have sighted a few does, the very few times I've been able to hunt, I have never shot a deer. I think I am waitiong for a trophy for my first one? My biggest ambition is to shoot a pig with my 357, but that will come much later. Everyone must have a goal, right?

Coming home from the range this morning, it dawned on me how lucky some people must be to be around guns their whole life. Here I am at 50, enjoying my day that started out plinking cans and targets. But NOW, I am in the process of learning and aquiring things to feed my life's interest.

God Bless the USA,
call me

Hey guys! My name is Frank, I just joined. Thought I would introduce myself. I live in the Tampa area now, but I grew up in Pittsburgh. Spent time in DC and Mississippi while I was in the military. I dont know how many of you remember BigBuckMaster, funny story. I was doing a search for some reviews on certain firearms, and somehow came across one of his threads as a byproduct of a google search. I was so amused at his posts and your responses I joined so that I could search for all of his other posts and get a good laugh. I have been a member on another forum for some time, taurusarmed.net which is also a great forum, but when I searched on google for some range reports on certain firearms I kept getting results here, so I figured why not, you all seem like good people haha. See you guys on the threads!

New Member!

Hey, im a new member, currenty I am medboarding from the army, lost a leg in afghanistan. I still have my love for rifles and such. My small collection consists of a Sig Sauer P250 .40 cal, a Wasr-10 with folding buttstock and I just recently bought a Rem 700 SPS Tactical and a Leupold VX-3, Leupold rings and 2 piece base. They are being shipped as I type so I will be sure to post results of zeroing. Did 4 years as a combat engineer, shot M4's at 600 meters, m240 n m249's .50 cal (M2), M14's and got the chance to fire the Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle with Leupold scope (not ours but the scouts rifle) in Long Range Marksmanship class. I don't too much about setting up rifles for long range but that is my current adventure. If ya'll have any info or just wanna say hey, feel free. Am looking forward to learning alot from this post! Happy New years ya'll!

Hello all, I've been reading on the forums for a while and finally decided to register.

I live in Virginia, I am studying to become an IT professional in network security and server management, and will be purchasing my first firearm in a couple days when I turn 18. I've been shooting for 2 years and love seeing all the different sizes, shapes, and calibers of firearms, It's like art to me.

Have a great New Year everybody,
Artaeus

Hello folks. As others have said, the search engines kept bringing me here, and I usually get some good answers, so I thought it was time to take the next step. I am an NRA basic pistol and PPIH instructor certified to teach concealed carry classes in Ohio. I have recently become interested (obsessed?) with long range shooting and have acquired a M1A Super Match and a Savage 110 BA .300 Win Mag in the past few weeks. My most recent search to bring me here was for reloading info for those calibers.

Hi from NW Arkansas!

I just found this site a few days ago, being referred from another board. I'm one of the last guys who went through basic with an M-1, and I love those rifles. I'm between Garands at the moment, but I have several other milsurps. Two Arisakas (one each flavor), Argentine, Turk, and Venezuelan Mausers, 91/30, Gew88, K-31, No. 4 MkI, U.S. Krag, 1903 MkI, 03A3, and I may be leaving someone out. I reload for all of them. Never was much of a pistol shooter until someone loaned me a Glock to qualify for my concealed carry permit, which arrived in the mail the same month as my Medicare card. Now I'm finally able to hit what I'm aiming at even with a 2" S&W Terrier. We moved to AR from CA 11 years ago, and one of my reasons for the move was the gun situation back there. Looks like there's a lot of good info here, and I'm really glad to see that there are so many young members!

Howdy Hoy, I am new here ...

It seems that this forum doesn't have usual intro sub-forum, so I thought to say hello from here.

I enjoy hunting and marksmanship. I mostly hunt rabbits, but some pigeons and craws as well. As well I am crazy about fiddling with rifles, buying all sorts of usual hunting gadgets and generally inventing new hunting gizmos.

cheers,
Edward

Hello from Kansas.

Hello all, I'm new to this particuar forum. I decided to go ahead and register because I keep finding myself linked to this site everytime I practice Google-fu online. Seems like half the time I ask a question about firearms, I am directed to a thread on this site. Might as well register and become a member if I'm viewing topics here every couple days. I think this site has probably helped me make half the decisions I've made building/rebuilding rifles. Next on the list: Long distance target shooter. I'm sure there are some threads around here when I am ready to start that project too.
Thanks!
