New Member? Introduce yourself here (just intros, questions get answered elsewhere)

Hey forum! I'm a student Journalist from Southern California. I'm a fairly new shooter, though one side of my family has been really into guns the other side isn't quite as accepting. :p i purchased a Mosin Nagant 91/30 a little over a year ago been shooting it since.

i'm really looking into getting 5 long guns in the future. an SKS, Lee Enfield Mk. III, some sort of .22lr (not quite decided on which make/model), a .44 Lever action (same issue as the .22 there's so many brands!) and a 12 Ga. Pump shotgun for home defense. either a Mossberg 500 or a Remington 870, i'm leaning toward the 500 at the moment. :)

Hi! My name is colton im 14, i spend alot of time aroud guns and there my pride and joy, ive been shooting since the age of 4. I am interested in customizung remington 700's. I love to read about them and shoot them. I also like handguns, but mainly rifles. Feel free to ask me any Q!
 
I am erapril and i have a decent collection of guns knives. I have a lot of hand guns i have a colt efender, commander, 2 cobras, python nickle, trooper, 22 sa nickle. I have glocks, sigs, 5.7x28 and i guess my favorite is same hold touching at 15 yds, but i put a micro laser under fron , makes it deadly. It is model 250 and i can change barrel for 40 or 357 sig, change slide barrel and mad for a 9mm. I spent 450 dollars more w/colt and made my ss defender sweet. I found the best holster, it is one that you can use with iwb and any gun as long as it is the same caliber. Well that is me oh yes i do own a lot of rifles, shotguns.
 
Hi, I'm Ben, and I'm from Ohio. I like guns in general. Handguns, long guns, whatever. I just started reloading and pouring my own lead, which is what brought me to THR. I primarily have been shooting my 1911 as of late, but have an AR, 1187, just bought a S&W M&P, a bodyguard .380, and the list goes on. Like guns, and anything to do with them. Nice to say hello to all of you.
 
New guy from Colorado here. Just got into shooting seperate from work. Mostly just 9mm and .22

I'd like to get into reloading but I'm still saving for the initial investment.

Hello, Posted in another thread, but never introduced myself. I'm Shawn, native of the Norfolk/Va Beach area of Virginia and am now in the Ft Hood Texas area. Been interested in shooting for a while and my wife and kids enjoy shooting as a family activity (11 year old daughter and 13 year old son).
 
Hello everyone. Been around weapons most of my life and carried them all of my adult life (military police / firearms instructor). Love collecting C&R and any thing older that needs some TLC. been looking around THR for awhile and decided to day to get off the fence and meet some good like minded people. Already glad I made that decision.
 
Hello all I'm 69 retired living in south Florida with my wife 2 cats(wife's) and my 2 dogs. Enjoy shooting pistol and rifle. Shot more when we lived in upstate NY. I am always armed when out in public. At home I am never more than a few feet from a firearm. Can't get my wife to carry. She does have her permit but thinks she can avoid trouble because she has attitude.

Newbie to This Forum From West Virginia

Just joined this forum. I started shooting fifty-three years ago, when I was ten. I got my first gun, a Sears "Ted Williams" semi-auto that fires .22 short, long, and long rifle when I was 11, and I still have it. I like pistol shooting, now-a-days and have:

a Nagant M1895 (birthday gift from my son);
a Kimber Tactical Ultra II .45;
a Taurus PT738;
a CZ 82;
a S&W Hand Ejector Model of 1903;
a S&W Double Action 4th Model top break;
a S&W Model 15-4 2" barrel;

and expect to add more to the collection before my son gets them all when I exceed my expiration date!

It seems I get hits for this forum almost every time I Google a handgun question, so thought I'd join.

New Member Intro

Hi to everyone! I am new to the HighRoad.org. Decide to join after reading the differnt post on the site. Lots of good post to learn from. I like hunting, shooting and reloading, most of my ammo except for the rim fire and shot shells I reload myself. My newest gun is a Springfeild 45ACP TRP Operator which I am trying to work up a good self denfense and target load for.

Hi gang, as a new member I enjoy and have for some 45 years all firearms and have enjoyed reloading since the late 60's. I reload only what I shoot and take it very seriously. My wife just purchased a M&P9c S&M. First 9mm in the family. currently enjoying the professional side of this site and membership. As I have a low tolerance for
inaccurate info. I do appreciate and will suggest and expect the same of myself. In this reloading camp it absolutely demands the whole picture for the proper equation to have safe lows and highs. And to that end: I will give what I have learned about reloading and will expect professionalism on any questions I may have.

Howdy guys,

New member in the Portland, Oregon area. Been reading threads here for a while and finally decided to pitch in and join the community. I'm fairly new to guns and models, but not so much to shooting - as I've been doing that far longer than I could remember names of guns I've shot and things of that sort.

Hi. I'm new here, but I registered a few months back to be able to view certain parts of the forum. I am a 19 year old avid shooter from Houston, Texas. I have been collecting military surplus firearms for the last 2 years, Marlins included. I reload my own ammo, and cast my own bullets; and I am a member of a private club here in the area. I'm a Christian, and a motorcycle rider. Some of you on here may recognize me from Marlin Owners.

Oh yeah by the way, just call me Travis. ;)

I'm an Aussie shooter and hunter. A few people have suggested I join up here and say Hi.
Despite popular belief, we aren't entirely disarmed down here although we have a hell of a fight on our hands.
I love collecting and shooting all types of firearms. I' m a keen hunter and have done some part time buffalo guiding in Northern Australia. I'm heading back there this Friday for another short stint.
When not shooting, I'm usually wishing I was :rolleyes: ..or I'm fishing. I'm heavily involved in repealling some of the stupid firearm laws we have "Down Under"
 
Welcome aboard, Ozzie Boy, you came to a great place. We're kinda big on sailing over here in California/Mexico, and because of that we've had several of your country men & women hang out at our house in So Cal. Great people, all of them......though I do have to say, half of them seem to support your somewhat Draconian gun laws. Haven't quite figured out why----except that they all worked for your Govvyment in one capacity or the other.

Welcome !! Always happy to see another person join so we can get as wide a perspective as possible. What species Buffalo ? and are they native to the area ?
