New from CA

Hello, Name is Dan, live in CA(Horrible Rights). new to this site, fairly new to the sport. join to get assistance or provide assistance if i can. Thanks for having me.

NooB to the board, but was introduced to shooting at age 4.
I live & work here in the Republik of Md., where politiweasels pretend to know what's best for their subjects.
Not as avid a hunter as I used to be.
I own no "black rifles" (subject to change without notice).
Firearms owned are too numerous to mention, but my favorites are as follerz:

G33\40 Mtn. Mauser in .257 Ackley
S&W 657 in .41 Mag.
Rem 760 carbine in '06 (1st deer rifle)
Belgian Browning A5 12 Ga.
I better stop there, and it's good to be here.

Welcome to all of you!

Good to see you here.

Thanks for helping us prove that the Antis are wrong in their depiction of gun-owners as trigger happy misanthropes.

Hello THR. I have enjoyed reading threads here on-and-off for the past year , so I figured I would join. I am the owner of a single M91/30 (a 1932: pre-war, hex) from northern VT, though I go to college full time in northwest NY (studying to be an engineer). I do share a Savage Model 64F with my Brother and Father. While I would like to expand my collection, I cannot justify the expense in my current situation; I like the Mosin Nagant enough that "upgrading" would not necessarily make shooting any more enjoyable. When I no longer have the expense of school, and am over 21, I plan on getting a CCW gun and expanding my collection. I am relatively new to shooting: my parents did not have guns when I was growing up (Mother is ideologically opposed to them). I enjoy target shooting, but have never hunted.

New member here as well.

Glad I found this website. Though I am not much of a hunter, I'm very much a gun enthusiast.

hey guys i'm not going to lie. i know nothing about guns/rifles/any weapon other than my hand lol. ok so i am very interested in getting my hubby on this show. im sure there are many other wives out there doing the same thing. in any case when does the casting for season 5 begin? it looks like i just missed casting for season 4 shoot, no pun intended lol.

oh im from iowa and my hubby and my boy do lots of hunting, but whats even more interesting to me is watching them compete against each other over the silliest things like my boy bought a bow so guess who else bought a bow and one day i caught my husband practicing and I asked hime what he was doing, he said i've got to do better than tr888t i can't let him beat me LOL it's nuts. i found it amusing anyway, must be a guy thing... my name is susie.

I'm from Missouri and have always been interested in firearms. I grew up with your basic hunting arms such as a shotgun, 30-30 and of course the 22 and have finally hit a point where I can spend some money on a variety of guns. I recently purchased a cz-75b limited and a Stag Arms Model 3 AR-15 and plan to purchase a 357 and 45 1911 in the near future to add to the collection.

New to THR. I collect milsurps and enjoy learing about the collecting side of firearm ownership.

Where to shoot for free in the desert

Hello,
I am new to shooting outdoors in Arizona. I am 8 months pregnant and jonesing to get out and have some fun with my boys during the day (I get strange looks at the indoor range where I usually shoot due to my enormous belly :) & I just want to relax). I was looking into Sugarloaf and Four Peaks, but it seems as though they were recently shut down due to what I have read in other peoples' posts.

Does anyone out there have a spot that is still open and wouldn't mind sharing with me? Thank you in advance and thanks for all of the information given!

Hello, finally joined thr after realizing how much time I spent on the site when I was searching for my CCW. I've been involved with firearms since age 4, started hunting 10 years after that. Was fortunate enough to get a full size 1911 at age 18, now three years later I've picked up a Ruger Sp 101, 3 in. in .357 and I hope to have my ccw liscense soon, my class is in a week. Guess that's all for now, stay safe out there.

Just joined, just got back into shooting after a 14-year hiatus (been married 14 years...hmmn). Live in Northern VA, have a Beretta 92 in .40 (since 1994), a Sig P229 is .40 (this year), and a CZ RAMI BD (9m). Also just picked up a new to me Auto Ordnance m1 carbine that I'm going "tactical" with. Fun to shoot!

I should have joined THR sooner, great place with lots of informed members.

Hi! I have come acrossed this website and am looking for some help. Let me tell you my story. My father was very into collecting and shooting guns. He also enjoyed making lead bullets (45's) I think. Well, he melted over 1000 lbs of lead scraps from all the shooting ranges around here. Anyway I have 1lb inkas that he left after he passed away with all the smelting equipment that I have no idea what I should do with it all. If anyone can give me some advice about selling the gun safe, guns and other equipment. I also believe that some need cleaning and where can I get that information.

I hope someone will share their knowledge with me!

Thank you
