Hi

I was sure I created an intro but I keep getting reminders every day to do one.
Love seeing the wisdom displayed and shared by people from all over. Live on an acreage in NSW Australia. Like to fiddle about and make things. Having a second youth shooting a 270 now instead of a 22.

New member here. I thought I did this once before but I am computer user challenged. I moved to western NY 4 yrs ago and what a wake up call. this part of the state is beautiful but I bet they even tax flatulence here. I like almost everything that has a trigger even a spray bottle. But I am a practical man, I see no use of building a rifle that shoots 1/4" moa when the person shooting it can only achieve 4" groups. I guess they fall under the people with more money then brains category. I'm a double dipped veteran USMC/US Army and have about 9 1/2 yrs of various infantry skills to show for it. I found this forum looking for M1 scout configurations.

Hello everyone. Its been about 24 hours since I've fired a gun. I have 8 firearms; 3 rifles, 4 handguns and a shotgun. Currently, three of them are "MyGreenGuns". I shoot recreationally, not professionally (yet). I've enjoyed firearms for about 8 years now.
Newish member here. Was going to post this before I got to ten posts, well into 200 now. This is my first ever forum, I am clearly addicted. I'm here to absorb info from those with more experience with me, and share my experiences with others. Thank you THR community and the MODS that keep it running!
I have my concealed permit. Like many of you, I carry a firearm I hope I never have to shoot at anyone. My primary CCW is the one gun I have the most practice with.

Hello All, I am from Pa. I spent 22 years Active Duty Navy. As you can tell from my username I spent some time in NAM..

Hi. I'm new to the site. I've been target shooting for a number of years now. I have a springfield XD 40 and a Romanian SAR-1, that I've made look a little more modern. Just a personal preference. I am here to learn more about firearms, as it seems there are quite a few knowledgeable people on here. Thanks in advance for the information.

Hi

Hi everyone, I'm a new member interested in all things gun related. Find the legal aspects facinating, even though I'm sometimes appalled by the gall of the anti-gun crowd. Love to shoot, clays, rifles, and pistols. Begining to get into some amateur gunsmithing, and considering some competitive shooting, for the learning experience not because I'm a top shot. Have read some very helpfull posts, and decided it was time to join. Looking forward to participating in discussions.

I'm new to guns, having grown up in a suburban, mid-western world where guns were what the police carried. I've been a reader of THR for a bit now, originally because it could sneak through my work filter (big shock that gun sites are "bad"), but now it's my go to site for gun/equipment reviews and overall interweb perusing.

Hello. I am a new member here. I like mostly handguns. I live in Florida, recently moved from Indiana. I have questions that I hope can be answered if I find the right forum. Thankyou.

Hello everyone. I've posted a few times but never introduced myself; may as well do so now.

I was born and raised in Savannah, GA, lived there for 24 years. My first gun was a Taurus revolver, .357 magnum with a medium frame (4" barrel) revolver that I bought when I was 20 and didn't know a thing about guns, just had it for home defense in case it ever came to that.
Sold that to a close friend who wanted a new revolver a few years later, never fired a single shot out of it. Replaced it with a 9mm FNH (FNP-9) after I educated myself on firearms/self defense and have had that gun ever since. I love it. It's comfortable, and I've been using and nothing else for so long that I completely trust my life to it (it's in my nightstand when I'm at home and in the center console of my truck when I leave the house). I moved up to Wisconsin to be with my girl, Wisconsin is... interesting. It reminds me of certain parts of Georgia.

Greetings from Alaska,

Father of 3 boys, active hunter and shooter, 5yrs USMC, glad to be a part of your community.

New from Phoenix

I guess I still haven't posted an intro so here goes. I've been lurking for a long time and guess its time to get this taken care of. I'm just a regular dude interested in getting outdoors and hunting. I work at a power plant and coach part time at a strength and conditioning facility. Like I said I've lurked for a long timeand I generally keep my opinions to myself. Thanks for all great info!

Hello everyone, I am a young firearms enthusiast,as well as an avid hunter and fisherman. I grew up in the woods of North-West Louisiana and I must say it is trully a sportsmans paradise. I am not old enough to buy guns myself but thankfully I have great parents that have disciplined me in firearms safety from a very young age, and because of that trust and discipline, Im allowed to have whatever gun I want as long as I'm willing to work for it :D. I love guns, I always have even since I was a small child. I am a handgun fanatic though, I love rifles and shotguns as well but there is just something about a 1911 or S&W Model 10 that just really gets me going. I like to consider myself somewhat knowledgable about firearms, but there is just SO much to know. Ive been reading books and trying to learn everything I can about guns for the last 10 years and all be danged if I don't learn something knew about them everyday. I've been on this site for a few days now and I must say that I've been given a warm reception. Thanks,

I have already done my intro but I keep getting messages that I have not..so here goes again.
I am a long time gun owner and former store owner. Have numerous firearms, my favorites are a Springfield Armory 1911 that I built to match grade status, and is a wonderful shooter, and an AR-15 that is very enjoyable to shoot. I enjoy reloading .45 acp for the Springfield.
I am a Vietnam vet and proud of it.
I only recently came across THR and find it to be a very informative site.

love this site

howdy :)
I figured I should say something since I've been reading here about 2 weeks now.
I'm a former NYer now living on a small farm in OR. I finally had enough of NY's anti-gun attitude, and moved someplace that wasn't looking to outlaw my 'evil' 10-.22 for being a semi-auto.
I collect mostly US mil. rifles (or Civilian versions like Ruger Mini14 or Colt AR15.)
My first rifle was a Springfield Mdl.1899.
The inavailability of .30-40 Krag ammo, and the cost when I could, got me into reloading. I currently reload about 10 calibers, some obsolete like the Krag and .38 S&W, some just to save $ or lighten the load on my shoulder (150gr .30-06), and some I just can't find regularly...62gr. 223.
A broken extractor and a disreputable gunsmith got me into fixing my own firearms, and gave me enough nerve to build a FAL from a parts kit. Now that I'm no longer subject to NYS's AWB, I'll probably be changing the configuration again..(It looks radical with a thumb-hole stock, but...)
Anyway...enough about me (or maybe too much?) ;)

Great forum

Hello from Oklahoma. I decided to join this fine forum after numerous online searches of differing topics has landed me here. I have always enjoyed reading the posts that members have left and the wide range of topics. Thanks for such a great forum.
