Just joined a few minutes ago after reading a couple dozen threads. I'm a fifty-something college student majoring in photography with a minor in environmental science. Haven't owned a gun in 3 years, but I plan to purchase Baretta 92fs soon, take some lessons and then get my concealed carry license.

My wife, who has never shot a gun in her life, wants to get involved too.

Sorry Im soo late in doing so...

I am "new" here. I've been lurking about for a while now. I mostly dink around with handguns especially creeping my buddies out with the hi-point. Any way back to lurking for now.:neener:

Just joined this morning. Right now I'm shooting mostly Glocks and really enjoying it. I plan on purchasing some Smiths soon. Been around guns all my life but never had done a lot of shooting until about a year ago. Retired military, so I needed another hobby. Also thinking about reloading in the future. I believe in doing all we can to keep our 2nd amendment rights. I'm sure I'll enjoy the forum

My name is Justin Doerr from Verdon,
Nebraska (very southeast corner). I'm nearly 16 years of age and I love firearms. Hoping to add a Ruger Blackhawk in .357 if the parents aprove haha. I have one firearm of my own other than the family's. That is a Ruger 10/22 with a 4x tasco pronghorn scope on it. Really accurate! Love to go squirrel hunting on the weekends. That or shootup a broken VCR or whatever is lying around. Well it appears that my time is up.

Hello From Utah

Hi all,

I am new here (obviously) and thought I better introduce myself. I enjoy just about any firearm and have spent a lot of time learning about explosive devices. I am not a schooled Gunsmith but I have been building and modifying my own as well as my families firearms for decades.

I am an disabled Vet (Iraq.. that is where I started to learn about explosive devices :fire:) I am now looking for a place where intelligent people talk about intelligent subjects not just how to slap on the new piece of kit onto a AR-15.

So here I am I am excited to look around more and hopefully learn.

After all I am just here to learn.

Thanks.

Hello,

I have been hunting most of my life so rifles/shotguns have always been there. I bought my first handgun 3 years ago and have been a CCW since. I have expanded into semi-auto rifles and more of everything.
I going to join my local shooting club next month(new members only at the first of the month) and I'm considering IDPA and the Ruger Steel Challenge.
I enjoy pretty much all firearms, except blackpowder. I don't have anything blackpowder and do not see myself owning any soon. Maybe someday? too many pistols, revolvers, shotguns, bolt actions, levers, and semi-auto rifles to get first :)

Hi, live in Southern California. I have a Baretta 20 guage, a Ruger .22 a Sig Sauer Mosquitos and a SW .38. I like to go to the local rifle ranges but can't stand being close to the loud .45 shooters when I am just using a .22. Any ideas where one can go somewhat locally and be outdoors and not crammed next to large calliber shooters?

Hi, just joined! For my lil collection, I have a '42 Mosin Nagant m91/30, a Mauser M48, and a MAS 36. My "more practical" carry right now is my Beretta Px4 9mm, love it. I love most anything milsurp whether bolt action, single shot, lever, or auto. LOL, and one day I will have me a Springfield Trapdoor.

:what:Hi my name is mackgun; from Seattle area. Ive been a shootist since I was a young boy. My main interest is in antique guns. We shoot regularly at indoor and outdoor ranges; my daughter is also very involved with me and has recently purchased a couple of handguns. I had a question about the Colt 45 Rodeo cowboy pistol, does anyone out there own one? Im about to purchase one but dont know a whole lot about it? Its a beautiful gun NIB with lots of engraving PCR, etc. Im looking forward to adding and receiving info from this forum.

I figured I should finally join one of the many forums I have used to look up firearms information on ever since I became interested in them. I decided to join this forum since it seems to have the most wisdom throughout the many threads I have read. It's also nice to see that idiots who tend to frequent other forums, with their misguided opinions and no factual evidence to base them on, tend to not last long around here before being corrected or sent the way of HD DVD's and dinosaurs. I'm currently a Senior studying Criminal Justice and plan to be in Law Enforcement by this time next year in the Seattle area. I love to shoot and gain more knowledge about all things related to guns, training, tactics, hunting, etc. and am looking forward to bumping heads with some of wise members here. Cheers

Hello All

I am hand gun shooter and hand gun collector. I also reload my own ammo as I am a regular range visitor.

I look forward to many discussions!

Hey yall, just to put it in short, I'm a Virginian and have recently come to notice the political/ financial instability of the international community. With the recent signing of certain threatening documents by our current President, I have taken it upon myself to get armed, protect my rights, and protect mine and other's lives. I hope it never comes to that but one can never be too cautious, to say the very least. I have joined these here forums in hopes of learning more about operating firearms effectively and just general firearms knowledge and philosophy. I don't mean to offend anyone with political talk, but for me, this is very relevant to gun ownership. thanks and God Bless!

Hi,

I'm another newbie here and recently retired. I've been an avid hunter since the moment my dad took me up to Paris, Va for some ruffed grouse shooting in the early 60's. Spent some time in the military during the Vietnam war, got to see parts of Southeast Asia too. After that I earned a degree thanks to the GI bill and raised a family on this farm in South Dakota. Not long ago I got interested in shooting handguns and am in the process of setting up a range on the property. Prior to retirement I never had time for this pleasure. I'm here strictly to learn.

Aloha

Aloha to all,
I'm new to the site and am looking forward to getting some seasoned advice. I currently have a 9mm XD and 45ACP XD and am looking into an AR15. My reasons are personal defense and target shooting.
