Watch this one carefully, y'all... he might be a Trojan. :scrutiny:

LOL... welcome. I remember the last time y'all won the Rose Bowl. I had the T-shirt. Outgrew it my freshman year of high school. ;)

No seriously. I don't have Facebook, nor Twitter. But I spend hours on here reading and responding. Learned so much.

Hi. Welcome to the forums.

Just so you know this thread will most likely be closed. Introduction threads are against the rules I believe.

Anyways I hope you enjoy your time around here, I've lost plenty of hours to online forums.

Good morning

Hey all. Hoping to connect with some enthusiast and get into competition shooting. I also am looking to be of help with keeping our rights fully in tact.

Hi from Eagle CO

Hi guys and an avid outdoorsman (fly fishing and upland bird hunting are my favorites) - I shoot a benelli nova for hunting but just purchased my new XDs and love it.

Hello from Oregon

Hello everyone. Been a member of this site for a while and figured it was time to introduce myself. I put in 30 yrs with the Coast Guard and have been out for about 7 yrs. My Dad taught me to shoot when I was about 10 I guess, been shooting since. Started reloading in 1980 if memory serves. I had a Super Blackhawk and shells were $22 for 50. A friend of mine introduced me to reloading, got me set up with a Rockchucker and taught me how to not blow myself up! Less than 1000 rounds later I had paid for the gear.

I’m also a charcoal burner. Built a 50 cal TC Hawken from a kit, it will keyhole 3 at 100 yds. That has been my deer rifle forever. I also have a Ruger Old Army which I need to post a picture of in the ROA thread.

I cruised this for a while and looks like a lot of good folks, think I'm going to enjoy it here.

Not a new member but probably time to introduce myself. Active duty military and avid fan of the knowledge and photos here. Learned a great deal from the posts and posters here. Looking forward to continuing on the journey with you all.

New member from TX

Hello, my name is Mag_357TX, and as you might have guessed, I am from Texas, Houston to be exact. Have heard good things about this forum so I decided to join.

My particular interests are shooting, reloading, and standing up for the Bill of Rights any way I can.

I haven't been on any forums in quite a while. I'd consider myself an intermediate shooter and reloader, and would like to share information and ask questions as they arise.

Glad to be here, I look forward to meeting everyone soon.

Welcome to the forum. I'm from Houston as well. What part are you from? I'm NW. Perhaps we can get together for range time? Lately I've been addicted to skeet and sporting clays (still learning and only ok at the games).

Hello from NE Oregon

Hi All. I really like what THR represents with regard to civil discourse and treating others as you want to be treated.

I'm primarily interested in hunting upland birds, deer, and elk. I also like to just go out and target shoot, as well as shoot clay pigeons.

I've recently gotten in to reloading, and that's really been fun. In fact, searching for reloading info is how I stumbled upon THR.

My philosophy on firearms is that they are tools. Need some meat? Use a firearm. Someone attacking you or your loved ones and you need to defend yourself? Use a firearm. I also appreciate the aesthetics and history of firearms.

I consider myself politically moderate, but I'm pretty passionate about the right to keep and bear arms. I see firearms as critical tools for self-sufficenecy and self defense. I also think we have a responsibility to be proficient in the use of firearms, and to pass on that proficiency to our fellow citizens and children, because we have a responsibility to be preparted to defend our democarcy against thugs, tyrants, dictators, and authoritarian regimes. My opinion is that that is a very remote possiility at the present. I'm guessing other members of THR might disagree with me on how close we are to that.

I served 4 years in the Air Force as a jet engine mechanic. Those 4 years strongly influence how I act and think.

My firearms:
Savage 111 .270 (main hunting rifle)
Taurus PT1911 .45acp (main home defense and open carry sidearm)
Bushmaster AR carbine
Escort Over/under 12 guage (main bird hunting shotgun)
Mossberg 535 12 guage (used mainly for turkeys)
Mosin Nagant M44 (1946)
Mosin Nagant M91/30 (1943)
Heritage SA 22 mag revolver
Noble 20h 22 bolt action
Daisy Powerline 880 :)

I also like to knit:eek:

Hello everyone.

I'm pretty active on a couple of other forums and have viewed THR from time to time specifically reloading. I decided to join this evening.

With my wife and daughter, I live in Houston and as the screen name might imply, we are avid sailors. We are also avid shooters and I'll be the first to admit my wife can out shoot me.

I've been known to shoot Springfield, Taurus, and Saiga's along with a few others. I've also had, and wished a still had, a 7.65 Argentine Mauser.

A relatively new reloader. I reloaded in the late 70's and early 80's but haven't since then.

Looking forward to learning and where I can, contributing.

Introduction

Hello everyone,

I just found this site today while looking for information on Mauser Military Rifles. I have a 1932 Polish made Mauser, it used to belong to my wife's grandfather. He passed away in 1982. I've had this rifle for the past 20 years. Two years ago I purchased a K-98 Mauser. I've been taking it to the range.

I'm retired from the US Navy, now living in Colorado.

Kindest regards,

Ken

Hi, I’m John “drjohn” I live in Red Bluff Northern Ca. I used to be a juvenile correctional officer but for the last 12 years have been doing behavioral intervention therapy. The Dr. is shrink, not saw bones. I like shooting everything from air rifles, yes air rifles, to big bore but my real turn on is black powder, mainly flintlocks. I just picked up a ASM clone 1860 colt army revolver which led me here for answers, which I have found many. I often get a bit long winded so I’ll keep this short. -- drjohn
