Nice one Hollerpoint! And I think you did fine on the price. Here's my 27-2 with N prefix that I bought new in 79 or 80. It is in mint, only fired by me, condition. Has its' original wood presentation case, all paperwork, tools, and even the cardboard sleeve the wood box came in. My favorite modern revolver.

This thread is great. Lot's of great information. Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm trying to buy another gun from the same old man that sold me this one. It seems to be a rarity as I cannot find another one just like it for sale anywhere on the web. It's a S&W 629 DX. Factory 5" barrel with original box. Great condition. I think he's wanting $950 because of the rarity. He said he bought it new in '91 or '92. It's a 44 mag.
