Still following the story! Wheres chapter 13!? aaagh!

I read "Lights Out" after it was already finished. I'm not used to waiting.
Call me spoiled. I call it lucky :)

After reading your bug-out story, I heard nothing but good things about Lights Out. I dont have much to add to whats been said.....But I took it upon myself to read it, and it was an amazing story. You are a very talented writer.

Thank you for writing this book, and I hope there is many more to come.:)

Lights out was a great read! This is not a slam against you but a compliment; LO needs an editor and a publisher. An editor because everyone needs professional editing and advise from someone other than the author and his/her close friends/family who lived and breathed the story for so long. Basically an impartial eye for errors and inconsistancies. Second - the publisher... AFAIK this story is not in print and IT SHOULD BE!! The middle to last third could maybe use a bit more development. Maybe it would not translate easily to movie form if it was an even more lengthy novel, but that's OK by me (as if you care;) ) because it would be an even better but already GREAT read!

The funny thing about other similar stories - none of them are very realistic. Take Jericho for example. The premise is similar to LO in many ways and I find it mildly entertaining. But it is very unrealistic as it doesn't go nearly far enough showing true human nature when it's every man for himself. I thought Lights Out was very realistic sounding when it came to bad people doing bad things. The only thing I thought was a bit unrealistic was the fact that people were civil for as long as they were. I think in reality societal (sp?) bounds would have broken in days rather than the weeks I remember in reading the first chapters of LO.

Anyway - I'm rambling... Thank you for Lights Out. It was an awesome read and needs to be on my bookshelf rather than a file on my computer. Please find a way to get it published by a company that will give it the attention it deserves. If it goes far enough to make it to movie form someday, don't let it happen unless you can keep Hollywierd from screwing it up and "liberalizing" it!

On to read the posted part of your new one. I'll buy it to if you get it into print. Even if I already read the whole thing online. You deserve to make a living with these stories rather than give them away.

Halffast, I have to first thank you for the great work that was LO.... There were a few little things that irked me, but over all a great work. That being said, I do have to say I was a little disappointed with the ending. I'll be honest, it felt a little rushed. I had the feeling in the end like you may have said, "ok, I really enjoyed writing this, but it's time to end it." I understand the way you ended it, I just felt like it was premature, that there was a lot more that could have been done with the story. Again, that's just a personal preference, not necessarily a criticism.

I haven't had a chance to start reading Lost and Found yet, but I"m looking forward to it. If it's anything like LO, I don't want to rush reading it. I'll read it at home, relaxed, maybe with a good brandy... How a good book deserves to be read.

I can't find lights out -- I've searched the AR-15 forums but I don't know the category to search in, there must be an hundred! Maybe someone has a link here?

Oh yeah.. Lost and Found.. GOOD WORK! I think it's awesome.

Hurry up with the rest of the story already!

I like the ironic "Mall Ninja" flavor...never quite sure if I am reading Band of Brothers or Flying Circus...

a little help please.

I could read the first chapter only. Could not see any other chapters in the AR15 forum link. What am I missing? Do i have to register to read the complete thread?

oh, the frustration is killing me :banghead:

(ahem, halffast, that was an oblique compliment to your story-writing ability. Great read. Very absorbing:cool:  )

oh wait, I get it. Chapters one through six are consolidated on page one of the thread. I just found ch. 7. It's all good.

That's fine, I'll just read it at home. Thanks for trying though.

Agreed

I tried to access it yesterday as well. My other subscription links work, but not the one to this story.

Sorry about that. ARFCOM rearranged some of their forums. I didn't mean for "Lost and Found" to be a literal thing.
