New Peep Sights (Humor Thread)

Been wanting some peep sights for my Remington 7400 to improve on the open sights. Couldn't find any commercially available so I made my own. I wanted machined case hardened steel bases but settled on cut cardboard.



Now for those who may be a little slow on the uptake the idea here is a gun humor or shooting humor thread. A change from the there are no boolits and powder threads. A change from the hoarders are bogarting all the ammo threads and the guy asking $4,000 for a $600 Bushmaster on Gun Broker threads. Refreshing and humorous material.

Enjoying coffee at the table this morning I was looking at what was left of my Peeps stash after my grand children and Easter. What they left me with anyway. The peep sights just came to mind...

Are you the one that is Hording the PEEPS, for the first Easter since 1970 I did not have a single peep. But do love your engineering, just wonder if your on an extended hunt and how long will they stay until temptation over rides the necessary of decent sights.

I think those sights need to be adjusted, looks like a solid setup, should hold up fine unless you go hunting in a microwave.

I'll admit the sights need some improvement. Yes, I have been known to hoard peeps but also I have shared ammunition so that is a wash.

The fact that this idea came to me slightly scares me. Not much but a little.

Think I'll get going and visit my local gun store.

I've written 4 separate replies to this post and ended up deleting all of them. This is #5. Thank you for posting this. I mean that. We seem so uptight on here right now. We need to have some fun and some laughs. We need more threads like this.

Defense of the 2A is not a joking matter. But if we can't unwind and deflate, we begin to start sounding like our counterparts on the left.
