Well today I picked up a couple of new toys. First up I picked up a Kimber TLE/RL II. I realy like this gun so far. I have not yet got it out to the range, but if it is anything like my previous two Kimbers it should be a keeper. I intend to remove the rubber grips. I really do not like them. I will put a set of coccobolo grips on it as soon as I can. The slide to frame fit is pretty tight. Not as tight as my custom Springer but very tight none the less. As soon as I get it to the range I will post and indepth range report.

Next up I picked up my new Mossberg 590 with ghost ring sights. I left the box at the shop so I am not sure the exact model of this gun, but I really like it. This seems like a nicer shotgun than my previous 870. This is what I wanted in the first place. The sights seem nice so far. The shotgun is finished in a Parkerized finish which seems pretty good. I like that the elevator (I have no idea if this is the right term) stays in the up position when loading. This was a huge pet peeve that I had with the 870. Overall I like this shotty and look forward to getting it to the range. This is not a good pic I will try a better one later. Again I will post a range report ASAP.

Looks like it could be either a 590 or a 590A1. Can't tell from your picture.

The difference is the A1 has a heavier-wall barrel along with a metal trigger guard and safety. I also don't think the A1 has the SpeedFeed stock (2 extra rounds can be carried on both sides of the stock)

Nice shotgun either way. I like mine!! :D

I've got the same shotgun... mines a Mossberg 590, with the bayo lug and all... pretty decent shotgun.

Nice Kimber... I love mine, let us know how it shoots.

I'll be interested to hear your reports. It just so happens that my next two gun purchases will be Kimber TLE and home defense shotgun.

Not sure about the accessory rail on the Kimber yet. Does it fit in a regular holster ok without accessories?

Thanks guys for the kind words.

Malada- It does not fit in standard holsters, but that is not a big deal for me. This gun is to be my home defense peice (assuming it is a reliable as my other Kimbers have been). I have two other 1911s I can carry. I will post a range report asap.

Love my Kimbers!

I started off with the same black TLE/RL and just loved it! I put a Surefire X200 on her(Gladys), and ran around the house chasing the dogs at night, lol. Worked very well, and it was my truck gun untill I saw some surface rust due to condensation in the WI winter. I'd picked up a Pro TLE/RL in S/S with my Christmas(thats right, CHRISTmas!) bonus, put the light on her(Gail) and now she lives in my truck. Since Wisconsin FINALLY got around to passing a right to carry law, I should find a carry rig for Gail, unless Kimber makes those sexy CDP's and Pro-CDP's with rails, then I'm gonna spend WAY more money than any reasonable person would, and buy twins, lol! Yes, I've got names figured out for those girls, too, and they shall be engraved in a fitting font upon both sides of the slide, just like Gail! Why bother to be a CNC machinist if not for the government work? Anybody else want some work done?

I have a Kimber TLE in stainless and it is beautiful. You'll love taking it to the range I hope you can buy ammo at Walmart. I go through 200 hundred rounds every week. Oh well it wouldn't let me upload the pic
