Just bought my first wheel gun. My dad had been looking at a 22mag/lr revolver earlier in the week. I dropped by a pawn shop on the way home that usually has a great selection of guns (i've also used them to transfer ownership in the past). And there it was shiny and new. I looked down the barrel and did a simple strip. This gun looks like it has never been fired. I even took some hoppes #9 on a qtip and wiped the usual areas to see how dirty it was... never got dirty.

The info stamped on the barrel is bounty hunter EAA cocoa fl HWM- germany
It's a single action with 22 mag and 22 lr cylinders
paid 170 out the door... Did i get a good deal?

I'd say you did alright. Now go get a bunch of ammo and see what the gun prefers. Don;t forget to drop us a range report here at THR. Congrats on your first wheelgun purchase, there's no looking back now.

That's just a little more than half of what I paid for a Ruger Single Six in stainless a couple of months ago, so I'd say you did very well. A single action six shooter is a lot of fun to shoot. Instead of sending hundreds of rounds downrange in a few minutes (which is fun too), it is more contemplative. At least, that is how it is for me. Enjoy your new gun, it looks like a nice one!

I have some bad karma. Went to the indoor range eager to shoot. Went through around 15 shots when it locked up... called it a night and brought it home to disect what happened...

This thing is interesting in how it's assembled... disassembly goes as follows.
Remove cylinder from frame. remove grips. remove backstrap. loosen hammer spring. Remove trigger guard and foregrip piece. 3 different screws hold in hammer trigger and cylinder stop.

Look inside... the cylinder stop has snapped and is no longer cammed by the hammer. So i now just finished ordering 2 of these parts (looks like a major failure point) and get to wait till i get to play anymore.
