Took my new PT145 Millenium Pro to the range yesterday for its first session and from a rest at 15 yards (the shortest distance available at the range), it appears to be shooting about 6" high. Most all of the 5-round groups were around 6-8" and I don't think thats too bad for a 3 1/2" barrel at that distance and with it being a new pistol to me. I was using a variety of loads: WWB 230 gr FMJ and some reloads using 4.7 gr of W231 and Rainier 230gr plated bullets. No failures of any kind.
I had brought some Remington GS 185gr +P but after trying them in my SA 1911, I thought they might be a bit too hot for the PT145.
Does anyone know of any aftermarket sights for the PT145? Would placing a shim under the front sight work to lower POI?
