Yeah, well, I decided to buy 5 AKs from J&G and will be reselling them to members of my club. They will be in on Friday and I hope to be rid of 3 of them by Saturday. I'm keeping one for myself and sticking another in the safe for a friend who's a little low on cash this month.

I'm still bidding on Sigs though. Gunbroker has a ton of them available for really excellent prices.

If money is no object, SIG P226, Baby...

Mine's a .40 P229 but the P226 is one of the more respected 9mm pistols. The G17 is an international pistol but I think that's mostly for its low cost and maintenance. Getting accessories for a Glock will likely be easier on your pockets than for a SIG pistol.

If I were you, I'd consider the overall feel of the pistol and your comfort/accuracy shooting it as well.

I have a Sig P220 and a P225, and I had a P228 that I dearly miss. So I'm a Sig fan from way back, but my G-17 gets more rangetime. My BHP and Springfield Loaded 9mm shoot very well with better factory 9mm ammo, such as AE or Speer Lawman, but the Glock shoots anything you load into it, including the cheaper but still good Blazer ammo, which I buy by the case.

Glock 34 is in a class by itself, or, at least the one I shot was. I could shoot it REAL well, and, I despise the Glock standard trigger. Glock says the trigger is 4.5 pounds, but, the one I shot felt WAY better then that. Course the gun was pretty much a race gun, set up for race gun shooting, so it might have been a bit different then stock;0

This offhand, couple magazines, at 15 yards. Actually, this was a 35, but, it's pretty much the same, with more recoil.

By the way, it was freezing, raining, and, my hands were a bit numb. The hole in the middle was shot by the owner, and, is really what the gun is capable of.

I did shoot an excellent group earlier, but, it was with a REAL gun, and REAL caliber:

Can't really think of a poll question where I would choose Glock!!
"Which of the following firearms has a reputation for exploding when chambered in .40S&W?"

I voted SIG as well; they've just always performed well for me, have given me zero problems, the controls are intuitive and intelligently placed, have a good trigger, and point naturally since they were designed with a human hand in mind.

The only reason I sold mine was that I needed money fast :(

I have a Glock (17) and two Sigs (P220, P225). I had a P228 that I sold off like a dumb@ss and wish I could now replace, but I have not been able to find another P228 that I like as much as my old one. I like Glocks and Sigs and would recommend you own one of each!

Made my decision...

...and it will be a Sig. Have a bid in on a Gunbroker auction for a new 226R. I think my chances are pretty good - about 12 hours left.

I will let you all know when I get it - pictures will be forthcoming.

Thanks to everyone who responded. You didn't make it too much easier though, and my next 9 will be a Glock 34, I'm sure!

Got the Sig 226 last week. Only had the chance to put 25 rounds through it, but wow, what a nice gun. I like my XD9, but this is much nicer, for me at least, to shoot - so much control and balance, what a nice firearm.
