New Remington R51

In recent weeks, I have been looking for a Remington Model 51 to add to my collection of quality historic gun design. Low and behold, I find that Remington is coming out with a new 9mm based on the Model 51 platform as designed by John Pedersen. Remington is saying that delivery to their dealers will begin in mid January, but I cannot find a dealer who can provide me with any definitive information.

If anyone has any good information on the new gun and when they will start showing up, I sure would appreciate hearing it.

There's another thread (at least) talking about the R51, but I did happen to see a Guns and Ammo first look that says "The standard Remington R51 Sub-Compact will be available Feb. 1, 2014 at a price of $389."

I'd figure the biggest dealers will get it then, followed by others. Just my guess, though.
