It might. But if your aim is a hair too close, well then you have tears and blood.

I have had a couple of Super Blackhawks including a vintage 3 screw model that was very well made.
When the handgun bug bit me in the early 1970s, I handled new 3 screw Blackhawks in a sporting goods store display case, but they were a little too expensive for me then. Also, I was vehicle-challenged and shot in a local basement range with .22 target pistols. By 1974 or 75 when I was anxious to buy a Super, all of the 3 screw Blackhawks and Supers had been snapped up by savvy shooters. I was perfectly happy with the New model Super, and still am, but I wish that I had bought something like a medium frame 3 screw in .357 magnum with a 4 5/8" barrel, when I still could have.
