New rifle -Savage 110 Hunter 223 caliper

Picked up my new rifle yesterday, a Savage 110 hunter, the first thing I did was to break down the rifle and clean it, It wasn't that dirty but just wanted to be sure, anyway installing the magazine was
a little different then what I used to, after installing it, the magazine would not eject ( fall out) I had
to push it a little from the top. the other thing was the bolt would not pick up last round in the magazine,
it rides right over, I had to push up a little on the mag and then the bolt pick-up last round.

ANY IDEAS!

As far as the bolt riding over the cartridge in the magazine,you may need to bend the feed lips on the magazine up just a tad to allow the cartridges to ride higher in the magazine.

you may have also pinched something on reassembly. Id take it apart, and put it back together again.

I would follow this advice and if you still have issues, send back the magazine under warranty for a new one.

I've called Savage, and they are sending me a new magazine
