I have the barrel,action and stock for my hunting rifle for this year's deer season.I got a Rem. 700 action with a Shilen Select Match Heavy Palma contour barrel that has less than 50 rounds through it.It's chambered for 338 Lapua,but the "gunsmith" who put it together made a mess out of the whole thing.I'm going to cut the barrel to 22 inches and turn it down to a medium sporter contour and chamber it for the 338-06 Ackley improved and put it in one of my signature fiberglass stocks.I buy older stocks that guys are taking off for a cheap price and rework them to suit me.I've done 4 so far,and every one of them is a thing of beauty,not minding to blow my own horn,toot toot!
