Catpop,

IMO there is no difference in size or weight between the LC9 and LC9s. I did not weight them or anything like that :).

Just my .02,
LeonCarr
Nope almost the exact same gun minus the striker fire mods done. They even have the loaded chamber indicator notch in the barrel now labeled as a "view port" upon the removal of the indicator :D Oh Ruger! lol

I would say yes, but the LC9s has a stupid magazine disconnect..

Just asking, I don't own or have ever held the LC9s. What do you find so stupid about the mag disconnect? How does it interfere with using the gun for self defense? How does it affect shooting the gun? Etc?

Picture yourself in a self defense scenario/struggle and the mag gets dropped, the round in the chamber is useless.

Well, I was kinda hoping "scthman" would provide his reasons for disliking the mag disconnect.

However, why would/should the mag drop out in a self defense scenario? If it did unwantedly so, I'd say it was more than likely operator trouble.

There is one scenario where you might just love the mag disconnect: In a self defense situation where a perp is trying to wrestle your gun away from you and you manage to drop the mag.

Two people struggling for control of the weapon?

And I gain control and my mag is missing and my weapon won't fire? No, I wouldn't love that.

Magazine disconnects are 100% useless in a self defense firearm, they were created to patronize anti-gun politicians and other anti-gun weenies.

I own 4 firearms with a mag diconnect (my 2 SR9s I removed the offending item easily), my SR22 and Mark III 22/45 are not as easily removed, but they are simply range toys.

I don't HATE magazine disconnects per se, I just find them completely useless and irrelevant.

There is a possibility that the user could accidentally depress the magazine release when pulling the gun from the holster, thereby rendering the round in the chamber unusable.

Does it still have that "loaded when up" indicator??
The loaded chamber indicator(LCI) is a device why there is so much hate I don't understand. The LCI is more than likely a somewhat useless feature, but it does not interfere with the firearm's function.
