The last new introduction of a Ruger polymer pistol was the P-97. According to their numbering system, that is either the year it was developed or supposed to be introduced.

It is 2003. Does anyone know if Ruger is getting around to producing a .40 caliber polymer similar to the P-95.

I'd like to have a .357 Sig/.40 S&W kit Ruger P-03 with swappable barrels for less than $500.

The P-03 should have an M-3 rail, more aggressive checkering on the grip and a frame-mounted safety/decocker that allows Condition 1, ala the USP V-1. I'd upgrade the trigger a bit. You could even add a grip safety stolen from the XD series.

Did anyone learn anything at the recent SHOT Show about Ruger's intentions with their P-Series? I have a P-95 that is the definition of reliabilty. It's not a target gun, but good enough for reaching the end of my upstairs hallway to stop an intruder.

Just pondering

Ruger makes a P series in .40 caliber polymer framed already. The P94 is made in two different models one 9mm and the other .40. I have heard there are after market kits to go to .357 SIG. Try www.Rugerforum.com for more info.

.45Ruger,

The P94, like the 85, 89, 90, 91, and 93 is alloy framed. There are only two centerfire Ruger polymer framed guns. No .40s.

The P94 has an anodized aluminum frame, not polymer. The P95 and the P97 are polymer framed.
