Ruger P-95 9mm Questions

I own 7 P-series Rugers...3 of which are like the P95....one is a P95, two are P97s(.45)...made the same way...fine, totally reliable, and I love the looks...you may find a range gun to try....the new ones have rails which I don't like or need, but I buy in the used market...$300-375 is a good price...I think you'll enjoy one...stick with factory 15-rd mags or the MecGar 17-rounders if you want the added 2....both are reliable....

Had one twelve years ago, bought one two days ago....solid gun. Looked at the sr9 but after seeing them at the range and talking to my dealer went "old school" with the p series. Sr9 too many issues, seems like ruger is trying to get current but keeps running into snags, so until they get the newer offerings right I'll stick with the old.

I picked up a 95 in a trade. They are good solid guns that one can to learn to shoot accurately. If someone was going to buy his first handgun for vehicle or home defense, this would be a great gun.

I do not think that the average person will put measurable wear on this pistol in a lifetime.

Having said that, I keep mine hidden in the house. I could not bear for my gun savvy friends to know that I owned one. Kind of like my grandfather felt about driving Studebaker trucks. "Feels good boy, but you don't want to get caught at it".

Bought mine brand new 2 weeks ago, I have put 350 rnds through it now with a lot of jams. I'm sending it in to Ruger today actually to get fixed or replaced. After reading all these posts I am certain that I will eventually be happy with it when it's right. Also, between this post and talking to several of my local shops, I have only came across one other person that has issues as I have. I hear that it's only 200 rnds or so for break in also. At 25 yards it was just as accurate as my brother-in-laws xdm9 with less recoil. The trigger is a little different but easy to get used to. Cant wait to get mine back!!!!!

I saw a "new" version of the P-95 the other day for $279.
At that price, I might have to. Been wanting another 9mm anyhow.

Imho, the P95 is the best pistol available in terms of quality and price. Tough as nail, highly reliable, and at $279 NIB, how can you beat that. Yeah, I have a couple of Ruger centerfire P-autos.

The P95 is a Tank, Built like a Tank but one of my smoothest recoil 9mm's. Go for it, you won't be sorry. Love mine and won't get rid of it even though it is (like a previous poster stated) a boring gun.

The p95 is an excellent gun for the money. I own 2 and they have been flawless. Here's one of them.
