Can anyone confirm that Ruger is finally coming out with some new pistols?

They haven't come out with one since 1997 ala the P97 in .45 ACP.

I'd like to see a polymer combo pistol in .40 S&W and .357 Sig with interchangeable barrels. It would be nice if the mags would work for both and be able to use both without a spring swap.

Just change barrels and rock and roll.

I'd make the grip surface better with an aggressive texture and add a universal accessory rail for lights, lasers and mini rocket launchers:)

They would also make me happy by moving the decocker and safety (if equipped) to the frame like the USP Variant 1 or Taurus. Yes, I am talking about cocked and locked.

If Ruger were to tweak their auto pistols and make a polymer model in .40 or .357, they could make great inroads in the law enforcement market.

The Ruger Duty Auto Model '03 would have night sights too.

Whatever happens, be prepared for any new Ruger P-series to have a chamber indicator, magazine disconnect, and internal lock. Something else to thank California for.

From what I've heard the new P-series will all be polymer framed.

If my P89 had come with a better trigger and the ability to carry C&L (frame mounted safety, basically) I'd probably still have it.

As things are, I got rid of it in favor of a BHP, which (not incidentally) has a much better trigger and a frame mounted safety...

I wish Ruger would make a compact gun for carry purposes (reliability is the most important aspect of a carry piece, in my opinion, and ruger autos are nothing if not reliable) but they don't seem inclined to do so... maybe because of their political stance?

Not sure how much mileage they would get out of offering the P in funky calibers (although a 10mm would be neat, as it could handle some mad-powerful loadings) or with uber-tacticool rails and whatnot.

It's amazing that Ruger only has one .40 S&W in the P series of pistols...the P94.

Edit: Nevermind. There is also a P91 in .40, apparently.
