I am the proud owner of a Ruger Single Ten. I bought it this afternoon. I took it home, did the poor man trigger job on it. That was super simple. Then ran to the range (despite the 20 degree weather, wind and snow flurries) and tried it out. WOW! I love it. After I played with the sights, I got it pretty much on. Those sights adjust backwards from what I thought they would, but oh well. I am really impressed with its balance, and performance, this thing is tight, and very accurate. I was kind of amazed, and surprised. I shot it off hand, and from a bag. I was putting shots really close or in the same hole. Being my first single action I know I will do better. As I put a few cylinders through it became easier to load, and empty. The bullets I used were the cheap Federal bulk pack. They went into the cylinder pretty easily, a few were hard to get out, but that got easier after a while. I am so pleased with this revolver, and am glad I got the Ten. I can’t wait to do more, probably Sunday. My only concern is shooting up all the 22 I saved before I can get more. This picture is of my last ten shot group, about 25 feet, offhand, fired fast as I was freezing by then.
