New S&W 1911s

Why can't somebody make a 9x23? Huge power in a ten round package, overall lenght right to run in a 1911...


Arrghhh. And those Smiths look VERY nice..

DT GUY, GunsAmerica lists quite a few 1911's in 9x23, mostly Colts, many NIB and pricy. Colt at one time offered the 1911 in 9x23 with optional barrels, recoil springs, magazines and extractors for 9mm & .38 Super!

I am already having my dealer check on the .38 super. He said it should sell for around $1600.........I'll post the price quote once he gets one. For me a plus was the absence of the front slide serrations....just my preference. The only other 1911 .38 supers I have left are the Colt Special Combat Government Competitions and they don't have front slide serrations either. The S&W would be a nice addition to my little collection.
