Well they got rid of the big gold inlay which should make a lot of people on the boards happy. Nice looking revo to me, I like the grips. My bet is that the MSRP will be pretty scary though.

I am glad to see S&W make some fixed-sight revolvers on the N-frame, especially in .45 ACP. Lots of good loads in .45 ACP, and I can find them anywhere. Besides, my old M520 needs a big-bore companion.

Haven't even seen the M21 with or without the pimp logo yet. But I would buy one of each if I ever see one for sale. Idaho gun dealers only know 44 Mags, 357s and 454s.

They won't take the chance to stock a reality based revolver. :banghead:

About the only thing I didn't like about the reintroduced 21 was that gold inlay. Want to put the Thunder Ranch logo on it? Fine, happy to have it, but don't color it. Engrave it and leave it like the maker's mark. Then I have no problem with it.

Still, I've got a bit of a love for S&W N-frames. Might decide to give this one a whirl.

Since the US Military is thinking of going back to the .45 ACP, one of these in stainless with a lanyard loop could be a purty neat thing...

This is retro enough to get me fired up.

If the M22 does come in around 36 ounces that will be perfect. If S&Ws were meant to have full length lugs then Daniel B. wesson would have put them on in 1852.

As the saying goes, "that is a gunny-looking gun".

Well actually, many of the early S&W revolvers did have a full length rib. However, it was on the top of the barrel.

But I do agree the "new" model 21 and 22 revolvers are "gunny-looking guns".

Full underlugs belong on Colts. :D

Hope you folks will post pics and reviews when you get 'em. Looks like it could be a great gun.

Will they use the standard 625 .45 ACP moon clips?

I picked up my M22 today. I am totally impressed by this gun. I can't believe how nicely the grips fit my hand -- I was thinking I might order a T-grip adapter to fill in the area behind the trigger guard, but it isn't necessary since it feels perfect the way it is. The wood color is different than that shown in the picture on S&W's web site - it is lighter in color with a nicely defined grain that I like a lot. I definitely think S&W has a winner with this new revolver. Can't wait to shoot it!
