A great deal from USPS just got even better.
There are two new smaller Flat Rate regional shipping boxes that can take 15 or 20 lb. shipments. The 15 lb. box can take up to 500 bullets up to 180 grs. of weight and the 20 lb. box can take up to 500 bullets of 255 grs. of weight.
The charges for the boxes will be less than the 10.50 Flat Rate box
I have already started to use these boxes for small samples and the shipping of the specialty bullets which are indepedently shipped from regular orders.
These are also ideal for those that just buy one box of bullets at a time for their reloading needs.

So how much is it?

It varies by how far the box goes within the shipping regions I guess. I haven't got it fully figured out just yet but typically the 15 lb box goes out for about 6.00 and the 20 lb box around 8.00. although one box that went to CA was about 9.00. I have shipped about 30 boxes so far and its less but it varies. I just wish that they made it flat rate like the other boxes. But, it seems to be working well so far. In my original posting I called these flat rate but they are not . They are a Priority mail box though so ship times should be just as fast as the flat rate; and that part was verified by one customer so far.

These are the new REGIONAL RATE boxes. Rates vary by region of the country, like UPS/Fedex and their distance-based/zone pricing. Weight limits exist also, as noted.

I don't know how long the USPS will continue with these rates as fuel prices jump. We may see a gas surcharge added similar to UPS/Fedex.
