New shooter as of today.

Seven months ago, I met Niki, an anti-gun left liberal. Today, she joined me and two of my friends to run out to a remote country home of another friend. There, she got acquainted with .22 revolver, autoloading pistol and twoblink's 10/22 (her favorite). After she made a very good showing with the pistol and an incredible showing with the 10/22 (80% hits on a 6" gong at 85 yards), she tried an AR15, a SAR1, a Sig P228 and a Glock 17. She now appreciates the reasoning behind sound suppressors. She fired about 200 rounds of .22 and 60+ centerfire rounds. Niki had a great time, got very impressive targets for bragging rights, and plans to learn more and then teach her friends. For her, the day went well. For us, it was a very happy day as well.

Tomorrow, I should have the CD with video clips from the event.
