A common trick for installing bicycle handgrips on the handlebars is to apply hair spray to the grips and handlebar. It makes the rubber grips slippery and easy to install. But once the alcohol evaporates the tacky hair spray keeps the grips from moving. This might help with installing the Hogue grip.

I've heard of this trick too....thank you. :)

I like my XL but, for me, the magazine release is awkward to depress with one hand. I'm thinking about moving the release to the other side and using my index finger to depress it but I don't like the idea of having one pistol with the release on the right side and all the rest being on the left side in the context of self-defense use.

I just picked this up from the shop and glad I went with this over the standard as I didn't care for how small the other model was. This is somewhat bigger but still small. I'm surprised the mag release is a little different from what I'm used to. I'd like to put a Hogue grip sleeve on this but has anyone had any issues with it affecting the ability to use the mag release? I would like to slip a Hogue on this just to give it more in the palm.

My two cents on the subject and worth exactly that: I put the Hogue beavertail grip sleeve on mine and really like it. It wasn't difficult to install at all using a hair dryer to warm it up some. I haven't noticed a problem with the mag release. Recoil seems a bit softer with the sleeve than without.

I'm sure Wilson makes good grips but I don't read anything where anyone said it increased the width in any manner. Has anyone else installed a Hogue grip and can suggest how to do this easily? I read about it being a PIA, and being a woman, I'm not going to have the hand strength of men for pulling this grip on. Is there a system to do this without it being an all day event?
There is another P365 thread where someone has posted a picture from the rear of the factory grip side by side with the Wilson grip and you can see the difference in width.

I just put the WC 365XL module on mine and I like it. It adds just enough for me to make a difference and much nicer than a sleeve. I like the way the palm swell fills my hand and the aggressive texture on the grip. Easy to install as well so no issues there. Is it worth 65 bucks? It was for me and I have a spare module should the need arise...

I’ve seen people use lighter fluid to install new grips on golf clubs.

I've put Hogue Handall's on a P365, a P365XL and on a Shield Plus. They all went on with a bit of effort and are on for the long haul. I like the hair dryer idea. The installation is well worth the effort. Gives a more secure grip in the hand and to a small degree helps mitigate some recoil.
