A few days ago I picked up a used but like new Sig P239 in 9mm, it came with 2 8rd mags and night sights, I bought it to use my main CCW and must say it’s about the perfect size for what I need.

I still need to put a few hundred rounds through it and buy a nice IWB holster before it’s fully commissioned but I think it’s going to be a great CCW.

Sorry the pic isn’t that great but I haven’t had much time this week

Even though it's the most inexpensive Sig Sauer unless you count the sigpro I like my 9x19 P239 better than most my other handguns including a P225. Let me know if you find a source for reasonable priced quality 8rd mags for these guns.

these are highly prized back-up weapons for ATF agents. Not everybody who wants one is issued one, but it seems everyone who gets them can shoot them better than their .40 p229 (which is really saying something b/c they all love those, too).

P.S. the p239's are issued in 9mm instead of .40. don't know why-
-D

I love mine just fine.

Very accurate, reliable, concealable, leathal, and good looking. Its my new first choice for carry as well. I use an IWB cross draw from El Paso Saddlery which was made for the 629 revolver. Works just fine, imagine that. Very comfortable and invisible. Mine is a 40.

Very nice choice you will not regret it. I actually have two. Well I have one and the wife has one. Love carry and love shooting it even more. Straight shooter. Very nice gun.

They are great pistols, but honest to goodness

SIGS ARE GETTING TOO D&*N PRICEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your "P.S." is why they shoot them better.

Congrats on your Sig 239!

I really wanted one of these a couple of years ago. I would think about buying one again if there weren't other good choices for small 9mm, ones that hold a lot more cartridges.

Yes,there are many smaller 9mm's and many of those hold more rounds but I haven't found one that shoots as well.

I never carry mine. Heck, I never even bought a carry holster for it after I got it. The grip is just too small for me, even with Houge grips. I would have sold the gun, but it's found a new life for me as a training gun. My students generally really like it, although a couple have also said that the grip is too small for them. It does shoot well though.

How much did it set you back?

A local gun shop quoted me a price of $630 for a nib p239 .40 cal with night sights. Is this too high?
 If so, someone point me in a different direction. I just sold my xd9 service, on account I realized I could remove the slide and grasp the frame with trigger guard in palm and grasp the grip with the other hand and twist, to my horror,
 and watch the frame actually flex a good 1/8". I was just checking the slide play when I noticed the frame flexing so I did what I just described. I'm looking to replace the xd with a nice steel or alloy frame. I'm eyeballing the p239 for concealed carry. Just need some pricing info. Gun & knife show in town this weekend, looking to spend a little money.

This is my first post. Hope I did it right.

In california, the local store is selling one for 699 without night sights.

Nice pick

My favorite carry gun, the Sig 239. It just disappears in a DeSantis IWB. I forget which holster, but it has the stabilizer "wing" below the beltline.

On paper, it's not much smaller than my G19/23, but it just feels right IWB. Optimal all-weather ccw gun in blackened stainless.
