Have a new Skyy coming to me soon (or as soon as I get all the paperwork done) and plan to put it through some paces when I get it. I ordered this (through Gunbroker) as a result of needing a light weight and pocketable carry weapon. Now I know many of you have different hang ups about this new company and what they make, however, I am hoping that I can provide everyone with an unbiased range report with pics as soon as I can.

I plan on getting a couple of WWB or UMC 100 packs as well as some Golden Sabres and maybe some others in an attempt to put around 500 or more rounds downrange. Any other ideas for a first runthrough???? For me this is going to be a go everywhere pistol and I really want to give it a good testing.

I've got a CPX-1 on order too and should be getting it hopefully this week.:) I'm paying $250 + tax for the stainless model and can't wait to check it out. After reading about it here and on other gun boards, I called a few dealers around town, but none of them had even heard of Skyy Industries....

I am paying $250 even (no tax and free shipping- snailmail). I ask them if they dealt with distributors and they replied that they are dealer direct and if I got my local dealer interested enough to stock one they would send me an extra mag for free.

Yes, Kevin, it is the 9mm. I thought I saw you at the skyy forum? Or was I mistaken? :scrutiny:

Hi borodin,

I have been to the Skyy site a few times. I still havn't seen pictures of one yet, and have not read from those who will get one. Once you get one keep us posted.

Kevin

Sold mine...

Firing pin broke twice. Not the least bit accurate, and actually painful to shoot.

Other than that...loved it...

I read on the Skyy forum that the company is editing their manual to tell people NOT to dry fire the gun. Not saying that you did, however, there was one guy that said his broke that way. I am sure there will be kinks to work out but I like the idea of being one of the first to have something. Maybe if they catch on we will be able to say we were some of the first to own one.

Would be neat to know who was among the first Glock users. Or other guns that are popular today.
