New Springfield XD-45 ACP: A Range Report.

Saw it at $509 here in San Antonio. I think this kind of gun and the Kahr 45 will kill of the GAP.

Interesting comparison of the XD and Glock triggers. I've shot a few Glocks and a few XD's and I always come away liking the XD's trigger better.

Sorry it took so long, but previously I did not have access to a location to upload pics. Now, I do. Here is a pic of the Springfield Armory, XD-45 ACP to which I affixed skateboard tape on the grips.

I realize this is an old thread... but would you consider the XD45 a decent 24/7 CCW gun, concealed inside the waistband for instance? Or would you opt for the XD 45 Compact?

Can you post a pic of the grips with the skateboard tape attached to it?

here is a pic of my xd, with grip tape but i isn't skate tape it is the 3m outdoor step gripper stuff that they sell in hardware at the local wal-mart. this role will never get used up. i really like the grips on there, even wet or with sweaty, muddy hands you keep a good solid hols and never loose your grip.

where do I find skateboard tape?

Most any sports store carries it. It comes in a sheet that about 10" by 20". I paid about $3.99 per sheet.
