New Spydercos

Limited run of "SWICK" neck knife. This version is a Wharncliffe blade which is a little longer than the original SPOT blade. No sheath: contact a good maker like Tom Krein or Eric at On/Scene Tactical.

The Spyderco Mules in S90V are also available. Due to the difficulty in working S90V, these are not as well-finished as previous Mules.

Got my Swick yesterday. It's a really nice piece of steel. The jimping on the thumb ramp is a nice touch. I'll probably be making some Kydex for it this weekend. I just need to decide where to carry the thing.

The Mules are also really nice general use fixed blades. They've almost made me give up my folders...almost. They just release the Mule S90V 2nd's today - $5 less than the standard. The 2nd's have a small cosmetic flaw, functionally the same thing. My Military 2nd folder had a very small galling spec on the back side of the blade that got stuck there during finishing. Cuts the same for $50 less.

My SWICK arrived today. It's a nice little blade.

I think I'll finally try my hand at a little Kydex work for it. I want to make a sheath/P3AT magazine carrier for use with a mercharness. A crossdraw rig worn next to my belt buckle would work well too.

Oh so true. I love my Spyderco's but wish they offered more 1095. And VG-10 is also a challange to work with.
